Naomi reluctantly apologized to Victoria.

“Madam Victoria, I was wrong. I wasn’t thinking clearly and drove into you by mistake. My brother has already punished me. Please forgive me!”

There were still red marks from the beating on her face. Seeing this, Victoria felt a bit soft–hearted and reproached, “Nathaniel, really, why did you actually hit her! I’m not blaming you. If anything, I blame myself for not being able to give Estella a background that matches the Hartwell family. It’s normal for your family to look down on us.”

Nathaniel said sincerely and with a sense of guilt, “Madam Victoria, what are you talking about? This is entirely Naomi’s fault. You have every right to hit her and scold her.”

Naomi’s face was full of reluctance and unwillingness, but facing her brother’s pressure, she had no choice. but to comply.

Victoria was startled by this scene and quickly said, “Oh dear, please don’t do this! Get up, both of you. I’m really fine now!”

Then, she turned anxiously to Estella beside her and said quickly, “Estella, go help them up!”

Estella coldly watched the siblings and said sarcastically, “Mom, don’t bother with them. They’re just putting on a show. I’ve already decided to sue them. No matter what they say, it’s useless.”

Naomi’s face turned bright red with anger. Her chest heaved violently as she glared at Estella and shouted loudly, “Estella, you’re going too far! I’ve already apologized to your mother. Isn’t that enough? What more do you want?”

Seeing his sister’s unrestrained speech, Nathaniel’s anger flared up instantly.

Without hesitation, he raised his hand and slapped Naomi hard with a “thwack.”

The slap was very heavy. The swelling on Naomi’s cheek became more severe, and the burning pain made her involuntarily cover her face.

Naomi looked at her brother in disbelief, tears welling up in her eyes, feeling wronged and confused.

She choked out, “Nathaniel, I’m your own sister! Growing up, you’ve never hit me like this. Now, you actually hit me for that woman. Are you still my brother?”

Naomi couldn’t understand when her brother, who used to not care about Estella, had changed.

Why was he now willing to hit me for this woman, without any regard for our sibling bond?
