Estella thought, Although we hadn’t met in person, I and Jonathan occasionally chatted on WhatsApp about our recent situations.
However, due to our busy schedules, our conversations were brief.
Selene became anxious, “That won’t work. You two are both workaholics; how are you supposed to date like this?”
Jeremy had returned to Kingston, and with no one to help them along, it was no wonder their relationship. was progressing so slowly.
Estella raised an eyebrow, “I think things are just fine as they are.”
In my view, there is a way to date at a fast pace and a way to date at a slow pace.
I believe that Jonathan and myself are both slow–paced individuals, and there is nothing wrong with gradually getting to know each other and deepening our feelings.
Selene couldn’t understand why Estella and Jonathan were so laid–back.
In my previous relationships, I would have established a relationship within three months, no, within a month of meeting someone.
However, fast–paced relationships came and went quickly.

My relationships rarely lasted more than half a year. Once the initial infatuation wore off, the relationship would quickly end.
I couldn’t quite grasp Estella’s thoughts, but I decided to test the waters with Mr. Bennett.
After all, there is a readily available Winson outside.
With a mischievous glint in her eye, Selene walked out.
Winson was tall and handsome, with deep, chiseled features that had a hint of mixed heritage.
Coupled with his status as a rich second generation and his tasteful attire, he was quite the catch.
The female colleagues around him were all looking at him with starry eyes after receiving his afternoon tea.
However, Winson’s heart belonged solely to Estella. Seeing Selene, Winson quickly asked, “Selene, do you know where Estella is? Why haven’t I seen her?”

Selene smiled faintly, pointed towards Estella’s office, and softly replied, “Estella is still busy with work at the moment, so she can’t come out to enjoy the afternoon tea.”
After speaking, she shook her head slightly, expressing her helplessness. “Even I, her partner, am not as dedicated as she is!”
“How can that be?” Winson’s face immediately showed concern. “If she’s too busy to come out, I’ll take the food to her office. There’s always work to be done, but she needs to take care of herself too!”
Selene, seeing Winson’s eager and solicitous demeanor, couldn’t help but chuckle inwardly.
This young man was truly attentive to Estella.
So, she said with a smile, “Alright, since you’re so thoughtful, why don’t you take it in and see if Estella will accept it?”
Then, she took out her phone, secretly snapped a photo of Winson taking the dessert into Estella’s office, and sent it to Jonathan.
Jonathan was at the airport at that moment.
He had just returned from the sweltering Grenton to Javerton and immediately felt much cooler.
He took out his phone and turned it on. As the screen lit up, an unread message caught his eye.
It was a photo sent by Selene.
In the picture, a strange man was seen entering Estella’s office with some food and drink.
Jonathan’s expression darkened instantly, and a wave of intense jealousy surged through him. He said to his assistant, “Back to the law firm.”
The assistant nodded in surprise.
The boss had just mentioned going home to change clothes first. Why the sudden urgency to return to the law firm? And it seemed the boss was in a bad mood. What had happened?
Estella had rejected Winson.
However, Winson was not willing to give up and continued to wait outside for Estella to finish
work.
When it was time to leave, Estella shut down her computer, tidied up her desk, and stood up to leave the office.
