Estella was shocked.
Jonathan!
He’s back from his business trip?

Jonathan walked over with an expressionless face. His deep–set eyes were as cold as stars in the winter sky, and his thin lips were pursed, giving off an air of unapproachability.
The overhead lights shone on him, outlining his perfect physique, but they couldn’t melt the cold aura that surrounded him.
Jonathan stopped in front of Estella and said, “I remember you told me last time that since I helped you with the case against the Hartwell siblings, you’d treat me to a meal?”
Estella immediately nodded, recalling the case. “Of course, whenever you’re free, I’m ready.”
Thanks to Jonathan’s help, I had been free from the Hartwells‘ pester these past few weeks.
Winson, who had been standing nearby, was initially unhappy about being interrupted. But upon seeing that it was Jonathan, he immediately became intimidated.
This is Mr. Bennett, someone even my parents will show respect to.
Moreover, Jonathan is superior in looks, demeanor, and ability. And Estella’s attitude towards him is clearly different.
Winson suddenly felt that he had no chance against Jonathan.
Jonathan, however, paid no attention to Winson’s thoughts.
He turned to Winson and asked directly, “Mr. Winson? Is Solvanta Global your family’s company?”
Winson felt his presence diminished next to Jonathan and replied awkwardly, “Yes.”
Jonathan nodded and said in a very professional manner, “Solvanta approached me for an economic case before, but I was too busy at the time. Now I have some availability. Could you please prepare the documents tonight? We’ll discuss them in detail at the law firm tomorrow.”
What?
Winson was shocked.

Even in his love–struck state, Winson knew that the company was more important. He replied to Jonathan earnestly, “Yes, I’ll go and prepare them right away.”
Jonathan nodded in satisfaction, and his strong presence made Winson seem like a mere
assistant.
Winson glanced at Estella, reluctant to leave. “Estella, wait for me. I’ll come find you once I’m done.”
Estella gave a perfunctory nod, hoping he wouldn’t come.
Winson left with a heavy heart.
At the elevator, only Jonathan and Estella remained.
They stood in silence, looking at each other.
Finally, Jonathan spoke first, “Are you hungry? Let’s go eat?”
Estella smiled lightly. “Sure.”
The brief interruption had already lost its significance between them.
They went to a nearby Grentonese restaurant.
As always, they worked in perfect harmony, one ordering the dishes while the other sanitized the utensils.
After Jonathan finished cleaning the utensils, he took out a box and handed it to Estella.
“What’s this?”
“Wedding cakes,” he replied indifferently.
Estella opened the box to find eight large pieces inside.
“?”
Jonathan explained, “I just attended a friend’s wedding, and these were given as gifts.”
Estella teased, “You must have been quite popular at the wedding, then?”
Jonathan recalled the awkward situation of being approached many times at the wedding.

He didn’t want to claborate and simply sighed, “It was fine.”
Thinking of Winson, he felt a faint pang of jealousy.
“Since the opening, Ms. Hayes has also been very popular, right?”
Estella raised an eyebrow.
Is he trying to get information out of me?
Humph, I won’t tell him.
“It’s been okay,” she said, then burst into laughter herself.
Jonathan couldn’t help but laugh as well.
The dishes were served.
Estella asked while eating, “It must be very hot in Grenton this time of year, right?”
