Now that Donna had spilled the truth, the other contestants began to distance themselves from her. No one wanted to get caught in the crossfire between her and Elenor.

Elenor seethed with rage. What, are you jealous? You want what I have? Then go get your own sugar daddy!

She made a move to lunge at Donna again, but Estella quickly stepped in to stop her.

Elenor turned her sharp glare to Estella. You sure you want to take her side? Not afraid you’ll get eliminated with her?

Estella stayed calm. Elenor, we’re all roommates. Let’s take a step back, alright? There’s no need to make things worse. It won’t look good for anyone if word gets out.”

Elenor sneered, gave Donna a death stare, and stalked off to make a callno doubt to file a complaint.

As the commotion died down, the small crowd dispersed.

Donna huffed, turning to Estella. She’s disgusting!

Estella sighed. Let it go. Get some rest. We’ve got practice tomorrow.”

Donna clenched her fists. “What’s the point? With Mr. Lewis backing her, I’m going to get cut next round anyway.”

Estella didn’t know how to respond. She couldn’t deny itconnections always mattered more than talent in this place. They were just here to be cannon fodder.

And for Estella, the pressure mounted even more.

This competition hadn’t brought her any real exposure or buzz. It hadn’t helped the arts center at all.

All she could do now was wait for it to end and find another plan.

The next day, Estella and Elenor went to the rehearsal roomonly to find it empty. No music instructors, no band. No one to help them practice.

They had been quietly iced out.

Elenor looked at Estella with guilt. I’m sorry. I lost my temper and dragged you into this.

Estella gave her a calm smile. It’s not your fault. I was probably getting eliminated anyway. Since we can’t practice, let’s just take a break.”

They found a lounge and passed the time on their phones.

Estella messaged Selene, saying she might be eliminated soon and that the competition hadn’t brought much benefit.

Selene replied warmly, trying to cheer her up. It’s okay. We’ll think of something else.

Estella was about to ask about the state of the arts centerwhen the TV screen in front of her caught her eye.

It was a live broadcast of a legal talk show.

There, seated confidently under the studio lights, was Jonathan.

He wore a sharply tailored suit, every line crisp, his posture elegant and commanding.

The host asked him questions, and after brief pauses for thought, he answered with calm, logical precisionhis deep, magnetic voice adding an air of quiet power.

The female host across from him was clearly taken with his charisma. Her eyes never left him, filled with admirationand a hint of longing.

As the interview neared its end, she finally gave in to her curiosity and asked boldly, Mr. Jonathan, you’re such an outstanding manare you still single?

Jonathan paused, then replied, I am. But there is someone I like.

The host looked visibly disappointed, but even more intrigued. So she hasn’t said yes yet? Hard to believe anyone would turn down someone like you.”

Jonathan smiled. She’s a remarkable woman. Beautiful, kind, and strong. She deserves the best love in the world. I’m willing to wait for her.

The host sighed with envy. I can’t imagine what kind of woman could win over someone like Mr. Jonathan

Estella stared blankly at the screen.

Beside her, Donna leaned in and whispered, Woweven a guy like that believes in pure love. I’m jealous of whoever he likes!

Estella, tell me-

-why are all the good men taken or in love already? It’s like the universe isn’t saving even a drop of soup for us single girls!
