“Get out!”

Seeing her in such a rage, Nathaniel could only comply for a moment, “Alright, I’ll go, just don’t hurt yourself.”

After Nathaniel left, Estella looked at her injured left hand. She still couldn’t accept the fact that she might never be able to play the piano again and couldn’t help but hug her knees and cry softly.

In Javerton, Jonathan had just come out of the courtroom. He turned on his phone and sent a message to Estella.

On the other end of the screen, Estella didn’t reply for a long time.

He hadn’t been able to reach her since last night, and his worry was growing deeper.

Fortunately, he had inquired about Trent’s contact details beforehand.

Learning from Trent that Estella had an accident, he felt as if something had clutched his heart, making it hard to breathe.

He immediately booked a flight to Claburgh.

Estella didn’t want to delay Trent’s training, so she asked him to hire a caregiver for her.

After dinner, the caregiver accompanied her to get a check-up.

Walking in the hospital corridor in a daze, she suddenly saw a figure emerge from the elevator and hurry towards her.

It was Jonathan.

The temperature in Claburgh was more than ten degrees lower than in Javerton, yet Jonathan was only wearing a thin trench coat.

When Estella saw her, she was surprised, “Why are you here?”

Seeing Estella’s pale face and the bandages on her hand, he felt as if something had pricked his heart.

He walked up to her and reached out to embrace her.

Estella shivered involuntarily from the chill that enveloped her.

“Does the wound still hurt?” he asked, concerned.

Not wanting to pass on the cold to her, he quickly let go.

Firshed

Estella had already composed herself, but hearing his concern, tears still fell involuntarily.

Jonathan wiped away her tears and, seeing how upset she was, didn’t ask any further questions.

He accompanied her to the check-up.

On the way back, Estella said sadly, “The doctor said I can’t play the piano anymore.”

Jonathan’s expression darkened.

Then, he gently patted her shoulder. “I won’t let that happen.”

That night, after watching Estella fall asleep, Jonathan called his brother and arranged for the best orthopedic surgeon from abroad.

The next day, when Estella woke up, Jonathan had already arranged for her to be transferred to another hospital.

“We’re going to Oakdane Hospital,” he said.

Oakdane Hospital was a hospital invested in by the Bennett family, and it had a branch in Claburgh. The medical equipment there was of the highest international standard, much better than what the current hospital had.

Estella didn’t refuse his kindness.

The day after the transfer, the orthopedic surgeon arranged by Jeremy arrived.

He had Estella undergo new examinations.

After reviewing the reports, he told Jonathan and Estella, “Ms. Hayes’s hand fracture isn’t as severe as previously thought. It should recover in a maximum of three months with proper follow-up checks, and there will be no problem with playing the piano in the future.”

“Really? You’re not just saying that to make me happy?” Estella’s mood swung from sorrow to joy, but then she became suspicious.

“Doctor, you’re not just trying to cheer me up, are you? The previous doctor said my injury was very serious and that I wouldn’t be able to play the piano again.”

“How could that be?” the doctor replied, looking incredulous. “Such a basic mistake shouldn’t have been made by the doctor who examined you before, unless he was lying.”

Estella immediately realized that the previous doctor might have been bribed.

She wasn’t naive and quickly guessed that the doctor had been paid off.

After two days of recuperation in the new hospital, she cooperated with the doctors and nurses for examinations and medication, and her hand gradually began to heal.

Jonathan stayed in Claburgh for her, and Estella, worried about delaying his work, kept urging him to go back.

But he reassured her, “It’s okay, I can work online.”
