Time-Limited Love: A Contract Expired, Not Renewed novel Chapter 145

At Zinnia’s renewed urging for a divorce, Landon’s already sour expression darkened even further.

He fixed her with a cold, almost predatory stare, the contempt in his eyes sharpening as he took in her nonchalant attitude.

“Oh? So you’re this desperate to split up with me just for that shameless mutt you picked up outside?”

A mutt? Seriously?

What had he done to get into a rivalry with a puppy? Did even the poor dog deserve to be insulted like that? Honestly, if anyone here was shameless, it was Landon, bickering with a dog as if it were a real threat.

For the first time, Zinnia’s usually calm face flickered with annoyance.

She shot him a frosty glance. “Mr. Ford, instead of policing whether I have a pet, maybe you should start thinking about how you’re going to manage the PR fallout from your precious Noelle nearly getting her own brother killed.”

With that, Zinnia turned on her heel and walked away without a backward glance.

“Zinnia, don’t you walk away from me! Explain yourself!” Landon was so furious that veins stood out on his forehead.

But Zinnia didn’t slow down—if anything, she picked up her pace, leaving him standing there seething.

“Sir, please, calm down! Take a breath!” Charles hovered nearby, flustered.

“Calm down? Zinnia’s cheating on me, and you want me to calm down?” Landon snapped at him.

Cheating? Wait, who did he think was cheating?

If anyone here was being unfaithful, wasn’t it Landon himself—always tangled up with that woman from the Jensen family?

“Her? Cheating? That’s impossible. I’d say it’s more likely you—” The words tumbled out of Charles before he could stop himself. Realizing his mistake, he slapped a hand over his mouth. Stupid, stupid! Shut up!
