Time-Limited Love: A Contract Expired, Not Renewed novel Chapter 251

“The number you’ve dialed is currently busy.”

Hearing that, Noelle let out a breath, forcing a shaky smile.

“So that’s why Landon hung up—he must be on another call. I shouldn’t have rushed to bother him like that.”

She repeated it to herself, as if saying it enough times would make her feel better.

Ten minutes later, her impatience got the better of her and she dialed his number again. Once more, the same automated woman’s voice answered.

Noelle’s expression darkened, but she kept trying to reassure herself.

“How could Landon’s call be taking this long?” she muttered, jaw tight, settling stiffly onto the sofa. She forced herself to wait another half hour before calling again, only to be greeted by that same mechanical voice.

At that moment, even if she didn’t want to believe it, Noelle knew—Landon had blocked her.

The man who always indulged her, who never once refused her anything, had actually blocked her.

“No… this can’t be… How could he do that?”

She simply couldn’t accept it.

All these years, Landon had spoiled her so completely that she’d come to believe he would never set boundaries, never push her away. She couldn’t wrap her mind around the idea that he’d cut her off.

Desperately, she opened WhatsApp and fired off a message:

Landon, I just got out of the police station. It was horrible and so scary. I really don’t feel right, would you go with me to see my therapist later?

Mom and Dad went to the hospital to be with my brother—I’m too scared to go on my own. Please, I need you.

She stared at her phone, willing a response to appear. Half an hour crawled by, but Landon never replied.

Her face grew darker, more clouded and cold, until even the house staff tiptoed around, afraid to make a sound.
