Time-Limited Love: A Contract Expired, Not Renewed novel Chapter 294

Landon calmly pushed Chandler’s hand away. His gaze, usually lowered, flicked up with a careless smile.

“Aren’t you here to celebrate my birthday? Birthdays call for a drink, don’t they?”

With that, Landon filled his glass to the brim, raised it, and made to down it in one go.

Chandler immediately reached out, intercepting him and snatching the glass from his hand.

“Alright, enough. If you’re so upset, why don’t you just go ask her yourself? Sitting here sulking and drowning yourself in booze isn’t going to solve anything. You could drink yourself half to death, and Zinnia still wouldn’t spare you a second thought.”

“Shut up.”

Landon’s eyes were bloodshot as he glared at Chandler, forcing the words out between clenched teeth.

“Seriously, what’s the big deal? Zinnia just went out for a meal with another guy. Why are you so worked up? Remember when you and Noelle had your little incident? That was way worse, and she didn’t even make a scene.”

Unfazed, Chandler kept fanning the flames from the sidelines.

“Chandler, that’s enough,” Connor said, tugging urgently at Chandler’s sleeve.

Landon shot Chandler a look so dark it seemed he might lunge at him any second. The tension was thick enough to choke on; no one dared to breathe.

But in the end, Landon didn’t do anything—just grabbed the bottle from Chandler and held it in a white-knuckled grip.

No one could talk him down. They just kept a close watch, ready to call an ambulance if he went too far.

“Tch. Who’s he trying to impress?”

The silence was suddenly broken by a disdainful scoff. The sound sent a cold sweat down Connor’s back.

Ruby stood up from her seat beside him, fixing Landon with a steady look.
