Time-Limited Love: A Contract Expired, Not Renewed novel Chapter 317

Noelle’s expression flickered at the words.

She remembered she was still blocked on Landon’s phone, and her face fell immediately.

“My phone’s dead. Are you going to keep stopping me here?” she demanded, her voice full of righteous indignation. “If you delay something important between me and Landon, you’ll be in serious trouble!”

The conviction in Noelle’s tone left the receptionist momentarily stunned.

But the receptionist hesitated too, afraid that if she let Noelle up without approval and angered Mr. Ford, she might lose her job.

After a moment’s thought, she picked up the phone and called up to the executive office.

The answer from Mr. Ford’s office came quickly.

The receptionist’s face changed slightly. She glanced at Noelle and lowered her voice. “Alright.”

After she hung up, her demeanor softened. She picked up her ID badge and walked over to the security door.

“This way, Noelle.”

Noelle lifted her chin with smug satisfaction, sneering at the receptionist’s change in attitude. She pointed at her and said coldly, “I’ll remember you.”

With that, she strode toward the elevators.

The receptionist was left pale and anxious, standing frozen in place, completely at a loss. She couldn’t understand it—after all the terrible things Noelle’s mother had done to Dapper, why was Mr. Ford still so good to Noelle?

Noelle rode the elevator straight to the top floor, to the CEO’s office.

Outside the door, she checked her reflection in her phone screen, focusing on the stark handprint across her cheek.

Zinnia hadn’t held back at all this time, and Noelle had come straight here afterward. The red marks were still vivid.

She glanced down at her wrist, where angry red welts lingered.

Thinking of the vicious look on Zinnia’s friend’s face, a tremor of fear ran through her—but there was also a thrill at finally having something to hold over Zinnia.
