Time-Limited Love: A Contract Expired, Not Renewed novel Chapter 351

“Yes, Zinnia, this is my gift to you. Whatever experiments you want to run in the future, go ahead. And if you need any equipment, just let me know—I’ll make another donation,” Zane declared grandly, sweeping his hand as if it were nothing.

He’d already donated a whole research building; there was no way Zinnia could ask him to take it back now. If she even tried, the students would probably curse her behind her back. Besides, the new lab would genuinely help the students with their research projects. There was no reason to turn it down.

All she had to do was slap her name on the building—there was nothing to get worked up about.

“Thank you, Grandpa.”

Zane beamed. “Are you free right now? It’s been ages since I visited my alma mater. Why don’t you show me around?”

“Of course,” Zinnia agreed, nodding.

Veridian University’s campus was beautiful, even in winter. The bare branches and frosty lawns gave it a unique charm.

“I confessed to your grandmother here, you know,” Zane said, nodding at Zinnia and Leanna as he pointed to a huge oak tree ahead. “See that tree? Back then it was just a sapling. Now look at it—big enough to shade half the quad.”

“We even carved our names into the trunk.”

“Really? Let me go see if it’s still there!” Leanna exclaimed, letting go of Zane’s hand and jogging off toward the tree.

Zinnia stayed with Zane, walking quietly at his side.

After a moment, Zane spoke up. “Zinnia, is it really over between you and Landon?”

His question caught her off guard, but she nodded. “Yes, Grandpa. There’s no drama between us. We just decided to part ways, that’s all. Not everyone’s as lucky as you and Grandma, getting to grow old together.”

Her tone was gentle; there was no bitterness when she mentioned Landon. But Zane still heard a steely finality in her words about the divorce.
