Time-Limited Love: A Contract Expired, Not Renewed novel Chapter 366

There was a brief pause on the other end of the line before the man sighed and spoke, his tone gentle, “Yuri, don’t blame your father. Time is short, and I just wanted to give you a reminder, that’s all.”

His voice was soft, carrying the calm refinement that comes with age, but every word was cold and calculated, sharp as a knife.

Murderous intent flickered in Yuri’s eyes, violent and barely restrained.

Blood still oozed faintly from his freshly bandaged wound.

“Yuri, you can’t put all the blame on me this time. Originally, that car accident shouldn’t have been so serious. Who could’ve guessed Juniper would mess up something so simple? I suppose it’s your little girlfriend who ended up suffering for it.”

The man’s voice remained impossibly kind, his words smooth and paternal, as if he were offering sage advice rather than revealing his cruelty.

But to Yuri, each word was chilling.

“With pawns this foolish, you only get one use out of them, don’t you think?”

His father sounded almost distracted, as if this was a minor inconvenience.

“Yuri, you’re my only son. One day, all of this—the business—will be yours. But you’ll have to prove yourself, won’t you? That Ford Group shipping route—you need to take control of it as soon as possible.”

“Yuri, the Ford family killed your real father, left you and your mother to struggle for years. All the pain you’ve endured, the Ford family owes your whole family. You’re only collecting what’s yours.”

Yuri didn’t reply. His face was shadowed, lips pressed in a hard line, as he ended the call in silence.

He understood the message behind the words.

If this time was merely a “reminder,” next time would be a threat.

He pressed his palm gently to the seeping wound, then pushed down harder, as if punishing himself could ease the guilt gnawing at him over what happened to Zinnia.

Zinnia spent two days drifting in and out of consciousness at the hospital before she finally started to recover.
