Time-Limited Love: A Contract Expired, Not Renewed novel Chapter 407

Zinnia’s calm questions were like daggers, each one sharp and relentless, forcing Yuri to step back.

“No, that’s not it…” he stammered, shaking his head. “I just wanted to get Landon to Selvoria. I never wanted those doctors to die there, I swear I didn’t…”

“Intentions don’t matter. Only actions do. And the facts speak for themselves.”

“Zinnia…” Yuri started to say more, but she cut him off with a raised hand. “Enough. Is there anything else?”

Yuri fell silent. The coldness and disgust in her eyes were a physical blow. He covered his face with his hands as if to block out the sight, to pretend he couldn’t see the loathing in her expression. After a long moment, he slowly lowered them and looked at her.

“I can do Landon’s surgery,” he said quietly.

Zinnia froze. She had almost forgotten—Yuri was a brilliant neurosurgeon. Despite his youth, his expertise in the field was on par with that of far more experienced specialists.

But…

“Why are you telling me this?”

Yuri’s jaw tensed. “My uncle will never agree to it.”
