To protect what’s mine
Chapter 163 Amalie

One more hour it seems, was not worth it.
“Move,” Sheila hisses to me as I am carrying in a batch of soup to the serving crockpot.
I try to move as fast as I can, but I am carrying a large pot full of hot soup. I do not get out of her way fast enough. Sheila ends up shoving me out of her way. I drop the pot. Thankfully, it all lands on the floor and not on either of
“You useless bitch!” Sheila shouts at me, gathering everyone attention.
Warriors and other Omegas freeze to look at the scene. They are all curious to watch the drama unfold. No one moves. No one interferes.
I bite my tongue to keep Beren and myself quiet.
Kira comes running from the kitchen to see what happened. “Are you alright?” she asks me as she looks me over to make sure that I did not get burned.
“I’m-” I start before I am interrupted.
“She is useless! Stay here, newbie, and watch her. She is not to leave until I bring the Alphas back,” Sheila growls
before she takes off.
We are left standing there in shock.
“Michelle will need to know about this,” she whispers to me as she bends over to start cleaning.
“Where is she?” I ask as I look around for the head Omega.
“Said she had to do something, and then left the kitchen,” Kira sighs.
“I’m sorry about her,” an Omega named Kim says as she glances around. She is the only one to help us. She brings over a mop and some rags to clean the floor.
Omegas scurry past us so they do not get pulled into the drama that is Sheila. A few warriors toss us hesitant looks, but a few words from their friends and they go back to ignoring us.
I try not to growl at the lack of help. Warriors should have been standing up to Sheila for what she did, not cowering away from the Omega. Sheila is a nuisance and a bully. Michelle is the head Omega, but she is acting like she is the head. Sheila has all the other Omegas scared.
“Luna?” Nick asks as he walks into the dining room.

I see him practically run towards us. He has a worried look on his face as he takes us in.
“I’m fine,” I assure him as I continue to work on cleaning the floor.
“Luna?” Kim asks with shock as she looks up at me.
“Luna,” I confirm with a smile.
“Oh my goddess, I am so sorry that I did not realize that it was you,” Kim says, fear over taking her voice

“It’s fine,” I try to assure her. “Let’s get this cleaned up and then we can finish serving lunch.” I am trying to get her to calm down.
“Q, Jay, come help the Luna and Beta clean the mess,” Nick orders to two warriors who have not stopped staring at
The whole room goes silent at Nick’s words.
“Now,” he orders, pouring a little of his authority into his words.
Both warriors snap to attention and scurry towards us.
“Let me,” says the dark–skinned teen.
“We’ll get this cleaned up,” states the blonde teen.
“Thank you for your help,” I say, trying not to roll my eyes. If they hadn’t found out that I was the Luna, they would have continued to just watch and done nothing.
Nick rolls his eyes at the two that are now falling over themselves to help us. “Kira, do you mind taking the Luna to go get cleaned up?” he asks as he supervises the two warriors.
“Sure,” Kira says as she pulls me up. “Kim, why don’t you come help as I am still learning the pack house?”
“Um,” she states hesitantly as she looks between us and the warriors.
“Come with,” I invite the older girl.
That seems to do the trick. She nods her head and stands up. The three of us walk back into the kitchen to tell Michelle what was going on.
“Sugar, what happened?” Michelle asks as she comes back into the kitchen from whatever she had been doing.
“Spilled the soup,” I say as I point towards the hem of my dress. When I knelt to start cleaning, I was unable to keep my dress up of the mess.

Chapter 163 Amalie
“Ya okay, right?” she asks as she looks me over to make sure that I am not burned.
“I’m fine,” I assure her.
“Kimberly, take her to the third floor. I’m sure that our Luna can find the boys‘ room from there and can change,” Michelle says as she directs us towards the stairs.
Kim nods her head and leads us to the stairs.

“Oh, we are so getting her fired,” Kira growls as we make our way upstairs.
“Thank you,” Kim says as she leads us up the flight of stairs. “We have been trying to get rid of her since the previous Luna died. But…”
“She’s like a cockroach,” I supply.
“Exactly,” she laughs.
We make it to the third floor. I take in a deep breath and smell my mates. I lead us to Mark and Cal’s room. Opening the door, I usher the ther two girls into the room with me. I grab a shirt and shorts from the dresser.
“We need to go shopping and get you some clothes for here,” Kira sighs as she lays out on the king bed.
“I don’t have any money,” I say as I move towards the bathroom. I quickly change my clothes and rinse the soup out of the hem of my dress.
“I’m pretty sure that your mates would give you some money to spend if you asked,” Kira laughs.
“Um,” Kim says nervously
“What?” I ask as I walk back into the room and sit on the bed.
