Too Good for You: The Ex-Wife You Lost novel Chapter 24

Noelle nodded dumbly.

At this point, there seemed to be no choice but to trust him.

That very afternoon, Flame Speed Racing held its physical fitness test. Among the 11 team members, Noelle came last.

She hadn't trained formally for six years. With the rest of the team members averaging 19 years old, her falling back was to be expected.

Noelle kept a calm mindset. Falling behind would only mean more practice. She would never stay last forever.

Yet, Flame Speed Racing's team members gave her strange looks. Hazel approached her, covering her mouth as she giggled. "Noelle, with your current fitness level, you'll need to train extra every day, right? Otherwise, you'll always stay last."

Noelle remained indifferent. "Thank you for your concern. I do plan to train extra every day, so you don't need to worry."

Hazel sneaked a look at Alexis, only to find her expression cold and calm, giving no hint of mocking Noelle. She immediately felt deflated.

Forcing a smile, she said, "Then you'd better step up, Noelle, or you'll still be the last in the next test."

Ignoring her, Noelle went straight to the training ground, preparing to train for an extra two hours before leaving.

Hunter said to the rest, "You guys can leave first. I'll stay back to coach Noelle."

At once, the members shot Noelle sympathetic but envious looks.

Even Alexis was a little tempted.

Which racer in the training camp wouldn't want a top coach like Hunter to coach them personally?

One team member, Jenna Leroy, protested, "Coach, you've never trained us personally. Why are you giving Noelle extra training?"

It was too unfair to them.

With his arms folded, Hunter gave them a stern glare. "Sure. If you want extra training, go out and run six miles."

Hearing that, the rest quickly scattered. No one dared to stay back.

Seriously? After a whole day of training, they were exhausted. Asking them to run six miles was practically asking for their lives.

After everyone left, Hunter approached Noelle from behind.

She had already started to train with the equipment.

Realizing Hunter was staying for real, Noelle flashed a helpless smile. "You don't have to do this."
