"I don't want to make things hard for you either," Noelle said slowly. "After all, I should know when to back off and not keep pushing, right?"
She was throwing their own words back at them, but this time it was Luther who trembled in fear. With Noelle's background, if she chose to make a move against them, they would be powerless to resist.
"I'll have the police handle those two apprentices right away, and I'll take Tina in for questioning too. Ms. Quinn, please forgive my negligence."
Luther swallowed hard and forced down his panic. "I'll bring in a professional makeup team to cover Tina's work. You won't need to lift a finger, Ms. Quinn. I only ask that you forgive my ignorance and arrogance."
His tone was nothing short of humble.
"There's no need to call anyone," Noelle replied coolly. "I've already arranged for someone to help, and they should be here soon."
Her eyes shifted to Tina. "As for what happened last night, I expect you to give me a proper explanation before today's shoot is over. I think that's already generous enough, don't you?"
Sweat beaded across Luther's forehead as he nodded quickly. "Yes, Ms. Quinn. Thank you for your kindness. I'll repay your generosity in any way I can."
"Then go take care of it," Noelle said coldly.
As if he had just been pardoned, Luther barked to his colleagues, "Take Tina away. Send her to the police for questioning!"
He knew very well that Tina and the two apprentices had been in it together. After all, he had been the one who told Tina to do it. However, the president had ordered him to handle the mess. If he failed, his end would be even worse than Donovan's.
The president made it clear that as long as Luther could appease Noelle, his own mistakes would be forgiven.
On the other hand, Tina was stunned. She never expected Luther to turn on her. Struggling desperately, she cried out, "Luther, what are you doing? It was you who—"
Before she could finish, Luther clamped a hand over her mouth to silence her.
She was dragged away.
At that moment, the makeup team Noelle had called for arrived.
When Tina saw them, her eyes went wide. The woman leading the group walked straight past her as if she didn't exist and headed directly toward Noelle.
"Noelle, I'm here!"
Noelle smiled when she saw her.
Gasps rose all around them.
"Isn't that Maggie Miles, the famous celebrity makeup artist from TV? How is she here?"
"I heard you have to book her six months in advance just for one session! She's got millions of fans online!"
