After her wound was treated, Aveline went upstairs to shower without giving Xavier a single glance.
Xavier followed her. At the door to the master bedroom, he said, “Do you need me to help you shower?”
Aveline said coldly, “I wouldn’t dare trouble you.”
With that, she went inside and shut the door.
Xavier chuckled and went to the next room.
With one injured hand, it was definitely inconvenient for Aveline to shower. Luckily, it was just her left hand, so us- ing only her right just meant she was slower.
After showering and changing, she left the master bedroom and went downstairs for breakfast.
She didn’t see Xavier, and she had no intention of asking Helena. She ate breakfast alone in the dining room.
Helena glanced at Aveline’s injured hand and said, “Ma’am, are you sure you don’t need to go to the hospital?
Sir just left, but I can drive. I can take you.”
Aveline shook her head. “No, it’s fine. It’s not serious enough for a hospital visit, and I can drive too.”
It would hurt a little when she handled the steering wheel, but she could bear it.
She realized she was quite good at enduring pain, and the same went for heartache.
When they got to the studio, Jasmine and Julian were shocked to see Aveline’s bandaged left hand.
Jasmine exclaimed, “What happened to your hand?
Your hands are priceless! Which bastard hurt you? Was it Xavier?”
Aveline was left speechless by Jasmine’s dramatic words.
Julian couldn’t help himself and took Aveline’s hand to examine it, his gaze focused. “It’s not too serious, right?”
He said, looking up at Aveline.
Aveline hadn’t expected even Julian to be so worried about her hand, and said with a smile, “It’s just a scrape. If it were serious, I would’ve gone to the hospital already.”
Jasmine and Julian both sighed in relief, but Julian still said, “Even though it’s just a scrape, you should still get it checked at the hospital, just in case.”
Jasmine nodded, agreeing with Julian.

Chapter 113
Aveline shook her head. “That’s not necessary.
We should be heading to Crestmark.”
Jasmine said, “Why don’t Julian and I go?”
11 288 Wouchers
Aveline replied, “I’m the lead designer. It wouldn’t be right for me not to go. It’s just a minor injury, don’t worry. It’ll heal in two or three days.”
As she spoke, she glanced down at her hand.
Julian only then realized he was still holding Aveline’s hand. His face grew warm, and he quickly and gently let it go, afraid he might hurt her.
Jasmine said, “Julian, why are your ears so red?”
Hearing that, Julian’s face grew even hotter. He mumbled, “Are they?”
Aveline glanced over and saw that Julian’s ears were indeed a bit red. She asked with concern, “Julian, are you com- ing down with a cold or a fever? It’s easy to get sick in this weather.”
Julian shook his head. “No.
Let’s get ready to go to Crestmark.”
With that, he hurried to the table to grab the design drawings that had been packed up the day before.
Jasmine glanced at him as a thought, one that shocked even her, popped into her head. She then looked over at Ave- line.
But she didn’t voice her suspicion, just smiled at Aveline and said, “Julian was so worried about your hand his ears turned red.”
Aveline smiled, not thinking much of it.
She and Julian left in his car. Inside, Aveline called her maternal grandparents‘ home.
Her grandmother answered. “Your grandfather is checking his blood pressure.”
Aveline asked, “Is Collin’s blood pressure normal?”
