Urging Him to Get a Divorce novel Chapter 167

Chapter 167

Aveline’s expression turned even colder. She wanted to take a few steps back, but felt it would make her seem weak, as if she were afraid of him.

So she met Xavier’s gaze with an icy stare.

Xavier said lightly, You haven’t been eating properly, have you? I’ve only been gone a day, and you look like you’ve lost a lot of weight.

Hearing this, Aveline felt an unconscious pang in her heart.

When had Xavier ever cared about her this much?

Never.

Just because he thought she was carrying his child, he was worried she wasn’t eating well and would starve his baby

How ironic.

Aveline lowered her eyes and let out a soft laugh, then looked up and said coldly:

If I starve myself, what the hell does it have to do with you?

After speaking, she tossed her bag onto the bed and turned to go to the bathroom, intending to wash her face. After washing her face, she would go out to eat, not wanting to bother with this heartless man, Xavier, anymore.

Xavier leaned against the bathroom doorframe, watching her wash her face. The clear water splashed on her delicate features, making her snowwhite skin look even more lustrous, and her long neck seemed to glow with a cool white light.

You’re so stubborn. It’s useless to go against me.

If you’re pregnant, you’re pregnant. Pretending you’re not won’t make the fetus disappear into thin air.

After dinner, we’ll go to the hospital. We’ll check on your stepmother, and this whole thing with you throwing milk on her will be over. Then we can get you checked out while we’re at it.

Aveline pulled out a cotton facial towel to wipe off the water droplets, then tossed it into the trash can.

She walked coldly past Xavier out of the bathroom, treating him like he was thin air.

Xavier smiled faintly. The more you refuse to go to the hospital for a checkup, the more certain I am that you’re pregnant.

Aveline took a couple of sips of boiled water, then picked up her bag from the bed and looked at Xavier with a cold

gaze.

So what if I’m pregnant? Just because I’m pregnant doesn’t mean I have to keep it.

Xavier’s handsome face immediately turned cold, and his gaze became sharp.

Aveline was startled, since this side of Xavier was rare, but she kept a straight face and went to open the door.

Xavier grabbed her, pushed her back against the wall, and looked at her with cold, dark eyes,

Don’t test my limits.

Aveline said coolly, Go on, tell me. What are your limits? What can you do to me?

Xavier stared at her intently for a moment, then he laughed and let her go,

Aveline, you wouldn’t do something like that, especially when it’s my child.

Aveline felt desolate.

She had loved Xavier so much all these years, giving everything for him without regret, so he knew how much she loved him and was certain she would never do anything to betray him.

In reality, she wouldn’t do that now because she cherished life, not because she still loved Xavier.

With a cold expression, Aveline opened the door and walked out.

Jasmine and Julian were waiting outside, and they were visibly relieved when she came out.

Eileen was also outside the door and said immediately, Aveline, I’m here to apologize.

Aveline frowned slightly, wondering what Eileen was up to.

Eileen was stunned to see Xavier also walk out of the room.

Xavier said flatly, Apologize?

What for?

Aveline let out a sarcastic laugh.

Xavier’s question made it seem like he had never noticed, or didn’t care, about the malice Eileen had shown her while helping Josephine.

Eileen pressed her lips together and said nothing.

Jasmine taunted, Hey, I thought you were going to apologize. Why the silence?
