Chapter 331
Chapter 331
All of these childhood memories hit Stanley like a speeding train. He couldn’t believe that he hadn’t recognized his childhood best friend right away. She had been a large part of the reason that he had so much fun when he was younger.
Stanley shifted uncomfortably from one foot to another. He knew that he had to say something soon. He could feel Olivia and her father staring at him. But he only had eyes for his long-lost friend
“Are you Angelina’s daughter?” he asked tentatively. “Polaris is that you?”
Olivia’s mother forced herself to fix a smile on her face. “My name is Polin, not Polaris.” She was careful not to answer his actual question.
Stanley knew that the woman standing in front of him had to be Polaris, his best friend from when he was a kid, but he didn’t want to press her on it. Now was not the time. He didn’t want to embarrass her in front of her family, and he might create a scene if he argued with her about it.
Im sorry.” Stanley said, the words feeling foreign on his lips. “I must have mistaken you for someone else.” He looked between Olivia and Polin. “Now I see where you must have inherited all of your beauty, Olivia.”
DeAngelo frowned at the man’s weird comment. His hands clenched into fists when he noticed the predatory way that Stanley was looking at his wife and daughter.

Olivia noticed the stiff way that her mother was standing and the fact that she kept inching away from Stanley,
Instinctively, Olivia knew that her mom actually did know Stanley, but for some reason, the man made her mother very uncomfortable. Protectiveness for her mom flooded through her. Olivia stepped slightly in front of her mother, shielding her from Stanley’s view
First, Stanley seemed to be obsessed with her, and now he has set his creepy sights on her mother. Olivia crossed her arms and leveled a glare at Stanley. She was sick of him making her- and now her mother-uncomfortable. Her patience and sympathy for this man had run out. She didn’t care how much her mother or her resembled Stanley’s first wife, which didn’t give him a right to be creepy.
