Chapter 1
The men at the table, watching her chest bounce with the movement, shared knowing smiles.
Seeing that Declan had no intention of defending me, I lost it completely.
I strode forward, grabbed a wine bottle, and held it over Jenna’s head-
Then poured the entire thing on her.
As she shrieked, I snarled through gritted teeth:
“Bitch!”
Just as I was about to slap her, Declan’s face darkened. He grabbed my wrist and pulled Jenna behind him, roaring:
“Sophia!”
“Have you lost your mind?!”

Chapter 2
I couldn’t stop the tears.
Declan’s expression was vicious, his eyes cruel.
He’d never looked at me like this before.
I stared directly at him, my whole body shaking. “Declan…”
I pointed at Jenna: “You’re yelling at me over this bitch?”
All my grievances came flooding out.
Morning sickness had kept me awake all night, and eating had become torture.
In just two months, I’d lost over ten pounds.
And during my most miserable time, my husband was screwing around with our older female neighbor.
Looking at the two of them, I couldn’t help imagining them in bed together.
Mixed with memories of Declan and me making love, I completely broke down sobbing:
“Fine, Declan. Tomorrow we’re getting div-”
“I was introducing Jenna to Marcus! What the hell is wrong with you?” Declan slammed his hand on the table in fury.
I stared up at him in a daze.
Declan’s veins were bulging as he looked embarrassedly across the table at Marcus Chen:
“My wife… her emotions are unstable during pregnancy. Don’t take it personally…”
“And… Jenna’s a good woman, not what Sophia’s making her out to be… you two should keep getting to know each other…”
