You Looked Down on Me Once, Now You Look Up. novel Chapter 331

But come on. Someone who’s spent their whole life in the spotlight isn’t about to let herself go down in flames now. She had to find a scapegoat. Problem was, her scapegoat wasn’t exactly playing along.

Patricia’s gaze lifted slowly from the carpet. Her brows arched, eyes sparkling with a smile that didn’t quite reach her lips.

“So Grandma, how old are you now? Almost eighty-five, right? That’s rough. All these years at the top, only to end up in jail. You, the pampered heiress who married into money—think you’d survive a day in there? Not like Kelly, who grew up used to tough breaks.”

She clicked her tongue, grinning. “Honestly, it’s kind of sad.”

“But don’t worry, Grandma. I’ll make sure you go viral. The whole world will know your story.”

Patricia lifted an eyebrow, her eyes landing on Brandon. “You handle it, Mr. Lantz.”

She brushed off her dress, her movement fluid and confident as she sauntered up to the fourth floor.

Upstairs, Howard was deep in conversation, his calm, polished manner making him look every bit the proper gentleman.

Something the other person said made Howard light up. “For real?”

“Seriously. I watched the whole thing. Saw someone shove Patricia into a room.”

Howard finally exhaled, relief flooding his face. “Good. You can go.”

If Patricia wasn’t taken care of, the Newtons were never getting out of this mess. Sure, they’d played dirty, but Patricia had thrown the first punch.

Patricia drifted up behind him, arms folded, a lazy grin tugging at her mouth.

“Mr. Newton, what’s got you so happy?”

Howard’s hand slipped. His glass hit the carpet with a soft thud.

Patricia blinked, all wide-eyed innocence. “Why do I always shock you, Mr. Newton?”
