Chapter 95

As soon as Narissa landed, she pushed off with one foot and shot up again, spinning midair.

She made a fierce roundhouse kick that sent Reese crashing down like a sandbag, slamming him hard into the ground.

Another deafening crash rang out, and this time, the floor shattered and caved in from the impact.

The sound of people swallowing nervously filled the room.

Narissa had Reese pinned to the ground, smashing his face with one punch after another.

The crowd’s hearts thumped in sync with her fists.

Reese’s face was battered and bruised. He was barely clinging to life as he stared up at Narissa with swollen, bloodshot eyes full of fear and desperation.

He thought, ‘This isn’t some useless girl. She is a witch straight out of hell.

‘If she landed a few more punches, I’d be a goner for real!‘

“Stop. Please, stop!” Using the last of his strength, Reese sobbed, pleading for his life.

This was the first time in his life he’d ever been beaten up this badly.

He thought, ‘It’s so scary out here.

‘I just want to go home and find

my mom.‘

“Get up!” Narissa pulled him to his feet and even patted down his clothes for him.

“I give up…” Reese started to say, ready to throw in the towel.

But Narissa pressed a finger to her lips and shushed him. “But look at all these people watching. If you give up now, wouldn’t that be such a buzzkill?”

“What do you want from me…” Reese was so scared he couldn’t even squeeze out a tear.

‘Damn, this woman is scary as hell!‘ Reese thought.

“Of course we’re not done yet!” Narissa replied with a playful smirk.

She grabbed Reese’s fist and pretended to let him hit her, then staggered back a step as if he’d actually managed to land a blow.

Reese was a nervous wreck.

Instantly, the crowd burst into cheers.

A person said, “Let’s go, Coach Nash!”

Another said, “I knew you were the best! She just got lucky.”

Someone else said, “Come on. Show her who’s boss!”

Reese waved his hands frantically.

“No, it wasn’t me. I didn’t hit her. I swear I didn’t do anything…” Reese stammered.

But the Lunaris Academy group was full of his supporters. They were dying to jump in and root for him.

Narissa looked up, a strange, unsettling smile spreading across her face.

Reese froze on the spot.

‘I’m so dead!‘ he thought, panic flooding his mind.

“You hit me? Oh, that’s not okay at all!” Narissa said, feigning outrage with a sly grin.

All Reese could think about was running away, but his legs felt rooted to the spot.

It wasn’t until Narissa’s fists and kicks were right in front of him that he shut his eyes in total despair.

He thought, ‘She’s definitely a demon. I’m dead.”

Once Narissa got her hands on Reese, she just went to town on him, beating the crap out of him without mercy.

The crowd watched as Narissa slammed Reese into the ground again and again, tossing him around like he was nothing more than a punching bag.

In her eyes, he wasn’t even an opponent–just a plaything for her to mess with however she liked.

‘Is she actually just playing with him?‘ someone thought.

Reese looked like he’d lost the will to live, tears of pure despair streaming down his battered face.

If he’d known he’d run into a monster like her, he never would’ve taken this job.

Narissa hadn’t had a chance to really let loose in ages.

On top of that, Reese had injured Cressida and Gilbert just to get under her skin.

There was no way she was letting him off the hook for that.

So she took the chance for some personal payback, beating him senseless and breaking a leg and an arm as a little parting gift.

“Almost done now, don’t be scared. Be a good boy for me, alright?” Narissa said, flashing Reese a devilish grin.

Then, with a move only she could pull off, she bundled his arms and legs together, rolled him up like a ball, and sent him flying across the room with a single kick.

As Reese spun through the air, a sudden memory flashed through his mind. It was some mysterious information he’d once seen about a legendary big shot.

That file had said this big shot had a seriously messed–up quirk. After totally wrecking her opponents, she’d roll them up into a ball and kick them around like one.

‘No way. Could she really be that big shot?‘ Reese thought.
