Chapter 215

Conrad POV

I get to the Moonfang pack and drive straight in past the two unconscious guards at the front. She is definitely here. We only left ton minutes after her and drove as fast as we could. Surely she couldn’t have gotten into too much trouble in that time.

We pull up in the truck, right into the compound, and see her standing over three men in the middle with the pack looking on. I recognize Alpha James immediately.

I get out and can hear her asking them why they tried to kill her mate. I can feel Jace right underneath my skin and watching how amazing she is.

As soon as I come into vision, Alpha Jame looks like he has seen a ghost.

He starts stuttering. “Alpha King. You….You’re….Alive“.

“Very much, James. Apparently, no thanks to you“. I go and wrap an arm around my girl and give her a kiss on the side of the head while she stares at her prey to decide their fate.

James starts trying to reason with me. “How about we talk this through. Alpha to Alpha. Man to man“.

My girl is instantly growling at the suggestion.

I smile at him. “Your Luna Queen doesn’t think that’s a great idea. She might not kill you, though, if you answer her questions“.

He starts trying to deflect. “She is the one who broke into my pack and terrorised my member. That’s what needs to be addressed first“.

Connor steps forward and starts giving some information that neither of us was aware of.

“One of your guards told us during the attack that the Alpha King will be pleased when they kill Conrad, implying he is not the Alpha King. Who else could they be referring to, I wonder?“.

Now we are both growling. I speak to him first.

‘So you’re working with Malik. Why would that be?“.

He’s silent. This pisses me off more.

I speak directly to Connor this time. “What colour is he?“.

“The two guards are blue. He is a mix of a few colours. I think he is proud of what he has done. No one in this pack is black or green, so no shadow and no Alpha orders“.

I grin at James. “Interesting. Whatever the reason for working for him won’t matter. We are going to kill him. We have already taken away his pack and his resources. Only a matter of time now“.

He starts snarling and can’t seem to help himself. “He is the true Alpha King. The shadows will devour the lands and return the Werewolf back to where we rightfully belong“.

I just sigh. This crap again.

He hadn’t been tied up in ropes like the others, so it surprises everyone when he charges at me with a blade. He barely makes it off the ground before my girl intervenes and bends his wrist back to break it, so he drops the blades.

James screams out in pain just as she catches the blade and slams it into his foot, right through his boot.

He screams out again, and Serena eyes watch him like a cat toying with a mouse. She left him untied for this reason.

James starts trying to talk through the pain and talking to me. “Alpha King. I know I did wrong, but it was the only way to protect my pack. I made the deal to save us. Call off your Luna Queen so we can discuss“.

I burst out laughing. “You think I control her? This is all her doing, so I would start pleading with her“.

He won’t even look at her, let alone address her. He stays focused on me. “Let’s deal with this man–to–man. Alphas have always talked business with each other as we can be level–headed and not… emotional“.

He should not have said that.

My girl starts growling at the insult. “Is it emotional to have to shock your mate when his heart nearly stops? Is it emotional to take out threats to my mate and pups? Threats to all packs“.

He turns and starts yelling at her. “He has all the power. The shadows grow with him, and you will have no choice but to cower in darkness as he rules. He has the true power“.

She starts giggling. “Oh. It’s power you want to see. Let me show you true power“.

I hear the clicking and popping sounds as she starts to shift, but it is not into her wolf form. She’s showing off her Lycan form.

She is glorious in full form. Standing at 10 feet with her pure white fur over he body. She lets out a long growl that is so loud the trees bend to it.

The pack members all suddenly drop to the floor and start bowing while our pack members take a knee.

She sent a message through the midlink. “The Moonfang pack is now under our control. These three are to be taken to our prison immediately. The rest of the pack is to remain here. We will guard you as prisoners until we know which side of the war you fight for

Whimpers break out among the pack. You can tell they are terrified, but I don’t care at this point. They made their choice when they chose not to say anything and break allegiance with the crown.

The soldiers deal with the prisoners and the pack while I get in the car with my girl, Liam, and Connor.

I hold the door open and let her in first, and then get in myself. As soon as I shut the door, she climbs over and straddles me.
