Boss, Your Ex-Wife is Unreachable Now! novel Chapter 254

“I told you in the cable car, didn’t I? I don’t want to talk about him,” Willow said flatly.

She could sense that Waller was probing her. He was never the gossiping type, and she couldn’t figure out why he was suddenly so interested in this topic.

Something was off.

But Waller wasn’t ready to back down just yet—not after her response.

After all, this might be a matter of her safety.

If this Beasley guy really was her obsessive admirer, who’s to say he wouldn’t turn nasty if she rejected him?

He remembered what his father had told him in his previous life: Willow had been kidnapped and held captive in an abandoned beach house, and in the end, unable to bear the humiliation, she’d jumped from a height and died.

Back then, when he heard about her death, the news had left his head spinning, his ears ringing so loud he couldn’t bear to hear the rest of the story.

Looking back now, whoever had managed to abduct her and hide her on a deserted island villa had to be someone with means—not your average Joe. At the very least, they’d have to be wealthy.

“Do you really hate him?” Waller pressed, wanting a clear answer.

Willow frowned, feeling exasperated. What was up with this tight-lipped guy in this life?

“If you know I can’t stand him, why do you keep bringing him up?” she shot back, feigning annoyance. “You’re starting to get on my nerves, too.”

“Sorry.” Waller apologized at once, then, after a moment, grew serious. “If you hate him that much, then you should stay away from him.”

Willow was at a loss for words.

She couldn’t quite put her finger on what she was feeling.

Was he… worried she might be in danger?

But why would he be concerned about her?

They’d only met twice in this life—hardly enough to even call themselves acquaintances.

“Trust me, no one wants to stay away from him more than I do.” Willow turned her head, mumbling her reply.

“If he bothers you again, you—” Waller started to say, “you can come to me.” But then he remembered Willow had just accused him of being annoying as well, so he changed tack. “...you can go to Ryan. He’s a police officer. He’ll make sure you’re safe.”

He didn’t mention her husband.

Willow stayed seated for a moment, watching Waller disappear from view, then pulled out her phone to catch up on her WhatsApp messages.

Earlier that day, before their hiking trip, the group of eight had set up a chat. Ian was the group admin.

Now, as everyone made it home, they were checking in one by one. Juliette had arrived home twenty minutes before Willow and had already messaged both the group and Willow privately to let her know she was safe.

Willow had spent the second half of the drive “asleep,” so she was only now replying to Juliette and the others.

As she opened WhatsApp, her eyes flicked to a message from Beasley, sent over an hour ago.

He’d told her he was back at Opal Residences, and reminded her to drive safely at night.

Willow knew where Opal Residences was, though she’d never been there herself.

Since their marriage, Beasley would sometimes spend the night at Opal Residences instead of coming home.

She had always trusted him—never once had she gone to check up on him.

But now? There was no point wondering if he was hiding another woman there. That chapter was closed for good.
