Chapter 409 The Fall of Carl
Carl’s POV
:
“Leslie, it’s not like that…” My voice cracked, a note of pleading slipping through.

Leslie shot me a hard look, her tone like steel, pine–scented pressure slamming down on me until my knees almost buckled. “You came here on your own?”
My chest squeezed. “Yes.”
Not like I had walked here out of nowhere – my so–called friends, those small–time Omega guys in the back circles, had egged me on. Be bold with the rich ones, they’d said. Make a move and things will get easier later.
Cynthia wasn’t some no–name. Even as an Omega, she had clout and resources in the industry.
Her pheromones had been drifting toward me on set. I’d taken it as a signal, an invitation to take things further.
Otherwise how could I have been so reckless in the middle of the day, running over to “serve” this rich lady?
Leslie’s voice stayed low and icy. “Cynthia said no, and you still tried to force her?”
I… stayed silent for a few seconds before I managed, “Yes… no… I…”
I had thought her refusals were just part of the game.
When I walked in, she hadn’t looked unhappy at all. She’d been throwing me one sultry look after another, pheromones sweet as honey, like an invitation deeper into the nest.
One thing led to another. We were on the bed. I started touching her and then she started pushing me away, pouting and acting coy. In that moment how was I supposed to know she really didn’t want it?
This was how Omegas played, wasn’t it layer by layer?

But her refusals grew stronger. Then, with one kick, she sent me sprawling off the bed. Before I could even react, Cynthia threw her head back and screamed, her pheromones spiking into a sharp alarm scent.
Within a minute, people from the whole floor were there.
The footsteps outside were like wolves closing in. The door burst open and there I was, shirtless on the floor, stunned like a dumb wolf caught in a hunter’s net.

Chapter 409 The Fall of Carl
This was the darkest moment of my life.
Even now my head still spun.
I’d been tricked. It was unbearable.
Leslie said nothing. She just glanced at Michael.
He stood, voice cold, his Beta pheromones sour with finality. “Given this, Carl, we can’t keep you here. We’ll terminate your contract. The paperwork will be handled.”
I stared, panic flooding my scent like spilled milk. “No… Leslie, Michael, I didn’t mean to…”
My eyes clung to Leslie, my one hope.
She had always been the one I respected
―
the wealthy protector who’d helped me rise so
quickly in the entertainment world. She’d protect me again.
But then Kirby’s eyes cut over me, mint scent like a blade. I shuddered. My wolf screamed. Don’t look at him! His wolf is roaring – he wants to tear us apart!
The plea stuck in my throat.
I could only turn my pitiful gaze on Michael. “Michael, I’ll never do it again…”
My voice came out a whimper, like a young wolf’s cry.
Michael waved me off. “Too late. Don’t say anything more.”
Then he looked at Cynthia. “Cynthia, you know how high the expectations are for this show, both from the audience and the industry. Too many scandals hurt everyone. Two new people are about to join us – they’re award–winning actresses. Working with them is a once–in–a- lifetime chance. You…”
Cynthia understood instantly. Her pheromones settled, turning sweet but calculated. “Michael, I value this chance. As long as Carl is removed, I’ll stay on the show. I’ll cooperate with whatever explanation you need and I won’t cause trouble.”
My wolf whimpered. She’s selling us out…
