Delete My Love for You novel Chapter 139

“Fine! I’ll vouch for her!”

Darren turned sharply to the attending physician, his voice steely and resolute. “Let her in. Now.”

His sister Lena erupted at once. “Are you out of your mind? Have you and this Lawson woman both lost it?”

The doctor hesitated, nerves fraying. “Mr. Harrington, but this lady doesn’t even have a medical license—”

While Lena and the doctor stared at him in disbelief, Darren’s expression remained unshaken. “Let her in. Whatever happens, I’ll take full responsibility.”

The moment those words left his mouth, Charlotte marched forward, grabbed the stunned doctor by the arm, and charged into the operating room.

The heavy door slammed shut behind her, instantly sealing off the chaos and shouts outside.

Lena, trembling with rage, rushed at Darren, shoving him hard. “You really have lost your mind! You’re letting Charlotte—of all people!—that housewife, operate on Noah?”

Darren didn’t budge. He wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth, his voice hoarse. “Yeah. Maybe I have.”

His own son was lying in the ICU, and the boy’s mother was forcing him to make a choice. Darren, who had always been decisive in the business world, suddenly found himself powerless, stripped of his usual composure.

This time, he was going to be reckless—with Charlotte.

Lena stared at the tightly closed doors, her knees unsteady. Xena quickly stepped in to catch her, murmuring with concern, “Sister, what will we do if something happens to Noah…”

But the faint smirk tugging at Xena’s lips betrayed her true feelings. With Charlotte inside, chaos was sure to follow. The stupid kid was as good as dead.

Inside the operating room.

The lead surgeon’s face twisted in fury as Charlotte stormed in. “Who let her in here? Who’s going to answer for this?”

He didn’t even finish his sentence before Charlotte snatched the scalpel right from his hand.

“You—!” The surgeon was both furious and stunned.

Charlotte, already masked, left only her cool, determined eyes visible. She scanned the monitors, focused on Noah’s head wound, and switched gears in a heartbeat.

“Clamp,” she commanded.

The assistant, rattled by her piercing gaze and authoritative tone, handed over the instrument without thinking.
