From a Wrong Turn to Mr. Right novel Chapter 107

She thought they looked great, and went through each photo, showering them with compliments.

Who would’ve guessed that Adelina Lane, like she’d just downed three espressos, started chattering on and on—from the pictures to the photographer, barely stopping to breathe.

It wasn’t until she asked, “So Aileen’s really that talented?”

That Adelina finally got to the real point—spilling the beans about Ethan Carter and Olivia Bennett.

Such a big deal, and they’d kept it locked up tighter than Fort Knox.

She was so worked up about it, she felt downright dizzy…

Thank goodness she’d been taking care of herself lately, or she might’ve actually passed out.

Olivia Bennett glanced up at Lily George.

All Olivia saw in her eyes was warmth and approval—nothing else.

She’d figured Lily would worry about the baby and try to talk her out of working so much.

But to her surprise, Lily didn’t say a word about it.

The tight knot in Olivia’s chest loosened all at once. She smiled and said, “If you like the photos, Grandma, you should come by sometime. I’ll take a set for you, too.”

Lily George widened her eyes, pretending to be all serious. “Oh, I won’t be shy about it.”

Olivia grinned. “You don’t have to be. Whatever you want, just tell me, and I’ll make it happen.”

“It’s a deal then! Next time, I’ll have your mom bring me over.” Lily let out a dramatic sigh, teasing, “I was really jealous of those photos your mom took.”

Olivia nodded. “Just let me know when you want to come.”

They laughed and joked for a while, when footsteps sounded in the hallway.

Jasper Lane strode in, his gaze sweeping over everyone on the couch. “Adelina, Lance, Grandma, Ethan, Olivia,” he called out, ticking them off one by one like he was taking roll call.

Lily George nodded in greeting, her eyes soft with affection. “Jasper, you haven’t been around in ages, have you?”
