From a Wrong Turn to Mr. Right novel Chapter 151

She let go of Olivia Bennett and, a little uncertain, patted Olivia’s slightly rounded belly again. Just to be sure. “You’ve put on weight, haven’t you? I remember you used to have abs. Now there’s a whole pancake of fluff here!”

Olivia Bennett: “…”

She pressed her lips together and glanced at Nannie Bruce. “Nannie, I’m about to tell you something, but promise me you won’t freak out.”

A little warning never hurt.

Nannie Bruce hummed, looking intrigued. “Okay, shoot.”

“I’m pregnant.”

Nannie Bruce nodded.

Pregnant, huh.

So that’s what it was. She’d thought maybe—

“PREGNANT?!” Nannie Bruce shrieked, eyes bulging as the words finally sank in. She stared at Olivia like she’d just said she was moving to Mars.

Olivia wasn’t surprised. Her own reaction the first time had been just as dramatic.

“Don’t freak out.”

Nannie tried to compose herself, shooting nervous glances at Olivia’s stomach. Her face scrunched up, serious as a judge. “Olivia, this isn’t April Fool’s Day. Don’t mess with me.”

Pregnancy. That was no joke.

“Dead serious,” Olivia said, grabbing Nannie’s hand and placing it right on her belly. “See for yourself. Does this feel like I just ate too many donuts? And look at my face—do I look chubbier to you?”

She had a point. Her face was the same as always, glowing maybe, but definitely not fuller.

But pregnant… That was hard to wrap her head around.

“Seriously? You’re actually pregnant?” Nannie said, her brow furrowed.

Olivia nodded, rubbing her bump. “Almost three months now.”
