From a Wrong Turn to Mr. Right novel Chapter 250

Olivia Bennett gave her hands a little shake. “Getting older doesn’t mean you’re losing your touch. If anything, more experience just means your photos will turn out even better.”

Elaine Carter shot a quick glance at Ethan Carter, pressed a light kiss to Olivia’s cheek, and teased in a soft voice, “Olivia, you really are the best.”

Ethan’s eyes narrowed slightly.

Elaine, still hugging Olivia, clung even tighter. “Look, Olivia, he’s giving me the death stare!”

“…”

Olivia was momentarily thrown off.

She looked up at Ethan and hesitated before saying, “Hey, be nice, will you?”

That made Elaine giggle even more.

Ethan turned his gaze onto Elaine.

Instantly, her smile froze. Suddenly her neck felt a little chilly—maybe she’d pushed it far enough. She let go of Olivia, grabbed her camera, and darted away. “Alright, I’ll take a few more shots of you two!”

“Just do whatever you want—I’ll try to catch some candid moments,” she called over her shoulder.

Olivia nodded, then glanced up just in time to meet Ethan’s eyes.

His expression was calm. Olivia squeezed his hand and coaxed, “Come on, smile for me. It’ll look better in the photos.”

Ethan squeezed back, the corners of his mouth lifting in a small, rare smile.

Olivia’s own smile bloomed, her gaze soft and full of warmth.

It was as if her eyes sparkled with a thousand stars, and in that moment, she was looking at Ethan—and only Ethan.

Ethan felt a gentle tug at his heart, as if an invisible thread had looped around it. He slipped his arm around her waist, leaned down, and pressed a kiss to her cheek—the one Elaine hadn’t claimed.

Elaine, caught off guard by their sweetness, barely managed to snap the shutter in time, silently groaning at the “couple overload.”

The group played around in the snowy yard a little longer before heading back inside.

Elaine led the way, while Ethan walked protectively behind Olivia.

At the porch, Lily George and a few others were waiting.

“Grandma!” Elaine called out cheerfully.

“Did you have fun today?” Lily asked, giving her a fond, slightly exasperated look.

Elaine nodded enthusiastically, still grinning from ear to ear. “Best day ever!”
