From a Wrong Turn to Mr. Right novel Chapter 265

Olivia Bennett decided to stay.

No one was happier about this than Beatty.

She stuck to Olivia’s side all evening, refusing to let go until it was well past dark—Damian Franklin had to practically drag her away so Olivia could finally settle in.

Damian guided them down the hall and opened the door to her room.

The first thing Olivia saw was a wave of soft pink. She took a slow look around. Everything—from the walls to the furniture—was done in gentle, inviting shades. It wasn’t tacky or over-the-top; if anything, the room felt warm and cozy, straight out of a modern fairytale, like the bedroom every little girl dreams of.

Damian smiled, a little sheepishly. “When you were little, Beatty decorated your room just like this. I wasn’t sure if you’d still like it… but if there’s anything you want to change, just let me know. I’ll have someone fix it up first thing tomorrow.”

Olivia’s lips curled up. “No need. I love it.”

You could see the relief on Damian’s face. “That’s great. Just get some rest, both of you. I had some clothes put in the closet. If you need anything, just call or text me.”

He gave them a reassuring nod, then closed the door softly behind him.

Standing in her new room, Olivia felt a strange sense of wholeness—a missing piece inside her finally put in place.

Ethan Carter wrapped his arms around her from behind, his voice low and close to her ear. “You really like it, huh?”

Olivia didn’t deny it. “My parents put this room together for me.”

She sounded happier than she realized, a hint of pride slipping through.

Ethan understood what this meant to her. “It looks amazing.”

“I think so too,” Olivia said, turning to nuzzle his cheek. “I’m guessing pink’s not your thing, though.”

His rooms were always minimalist—whether at the Carter estate or in their own house, he kept things simple. It was only after Olivia moved in that color started seeping in.

Ethan kissed her cheek. “I like it.”

Olivia arched an eyebrow, grinning. “Do you really?”

“If you like it, I like it,” he teased, his voice soft and a little playful.
