From a Wrong Turn to Mr. Right novel Chapter 344

Ethan Carter cut her off sharply. “How did you know I was in there?”

“I… uh…” Catherine Blair stammered, her words catching in her throat.

I stood there for a long moment, unable to get a single word out.

Ethan’s expression only grew colder.

Abbott Green, clearly annoyed, shot her an exasperated glare. “What do you mean, ‘I’? If you didn’t spike the drink, what are you hiding? Out with it, now.”

Addie David tugged at her sleeve, his brow furrowed so tightly it looked painful. “Just tell us the truth, Catherine. Whatever it is, spit it out.”

After all, drugging someone was no small matter.

Ethan was furious today—obviously, the whole lacing-the-drink thing had crossed a big red line for him.

If it were just a simple flirtation, Ethan wouldn’t have called them all here to settle the score himself.

Catherine’s eyes darted nervously. “It was… Shirley Carter who told me.”

Once she said it, she bit her lip, deciding there was no point in hiding anything anymore. “She said you had a party in that private room. She even gave me the room number. That’s why I was waiting outside the whole time.”

She blurted it all out in one breath.

For a split second, something flickered in Ethan’s dark eyes—so quick, no one in the room could quite catch it.

Abbott Green stared, stunned.

He hadn’t expected Shirley Carter to be involved in this mess.

If he was being honest, he never wanted to cross either side of this conflict.
