After Zaden confirmed Athena was perfectly fine, he asked softly, “What happened?”
Athena sneered and glanced in Nina’s direction. “Nothing at all. Mrs. Blaise just tried to push me. But I saw through it. She ended up shooting herself in the foot and fell in.”
She was absolutely certain she didn’t know Pandra. Yet Pandra harbored such intense hostility toward her. Who was pulling Pandra’s strings was pretty obvious.
Hearing this, Zaden’s brow furrowed deeply.
He said coldly, “Do you need me to take care of that person?”
“Wait!” Athena stopped him. She said meaningfully, “Don’t worry, they can’t frame me. Let’s keep her around. She and the mastermind can turn on each other later. Wouldn’t that be much more entertaining?”
Hearing Athena’s words, Zaden didn’t push the matter.
He insisted, “If you notice anything suspicious, make sure to tell me right away.”
“Don’t worry. Didn’t I say I was going to stick close to you? I definitely won’t hesitate to ask for help!”
Only then did Zaden feel at ease.
Nina watched Athena and Zaden talking with their heads together. The harmonious atmosphere between them looked completely natural.
After leaving Lewis, Athena had actually ended up with Zaden.
And now Lewis wouldn’t even acknowledge her existence. This made her green with envy.
The jealousy in her heart threatened to drown her.
Nina walked over to Lewis’s side. She said maliciously, “Lewis, did you see that? Athena is with Zaden now. She doesn’t care about you at all. She’d never get back together with you.”
Lewis looked up toward Athena. He thought about her attitude toward him these past two days. His expression darkened.
He said through gritted teeth, “They might not really be together.”
Whether he was trying to convince himself or just being stubborn was unclear.

Perhaps Lewis knew Athena and Zaden were developing something. He had absolutely no way to stop it from happening.
Ever since he and Athena divorced, he had disappeared from her life.
Now there wasn’t a trace of him anywhere around Athena.
Lewis’s jaw tightened. A dark aura emanated from his entire being. Even Nina beside him clearly sensed his abnormal state.
She seized the opportunity, “Lewis, just forget about Athena already. Let’s start over, okay? We’re married now. For Dion’s sake, we have to …
“Shut up!” Lewis snapped.
“1
He said coldly, “You know exactly why I married you! If it weren’t for the Belmonts, you wouldn’t have the opportunity to stand before me.”
With that, Lewis stood up abruptly and walked away, cutting off any more of Nina’s nagging.
Left behind by Lewis, Nina’s eyes filled with resentment.
Her hands clenched into fists at her sides. “Damn it! What will it take for Lewis to forget about Athena? What kind of spell does she have over him?”
Athena had her back to Lewis.
She couldn’t see Lewis and Nina, who had just been staring at her with malice.
Although she didn’t turn around, Athena still felt a gaze fixed on her from behind.
“Lewis’s watching you.”
Zaden’s gaze moved past Athena to look behind her.
Athena’s brow furrowed. “No wonder I felt a chill down my spine just now. Turns out I really am being stalked by a ghost!”
To her, Lewis was now like a ghost that wouldn’t leave her alone.
Seeing Athena could now talk about Lewis so casually, Zaden thought for a moment.
At least he couldn’t stir up any emotional reaction in her.
Perhaps Athena had already moved on.
