Raven was proud of his new evolution. He’d strut around showing it off every chance he got- especially when Caroline went to the bathroom. He’d push the door open, lower his big dark head, and stare straight at her.
She nearly jumped out of her skin the first few times!
But that seemed to become Raven’s favorite game.
Even Jet thought it was hilarious. He would flap his wings and let out loud, mocking squawks whenever Caroline screamed.
Caroline was so mad she almost plucked their feathers out.
Later that day, she pulled out a piece of firewood from her storage space and tossed it into the
stove.
To her surprise, this wasn’t ordinary wood.
It burned easily and cleanly, with no smoke. One small stick lasted the whole day!
It heated her entire room, making it the perfect lifesaver in this deep–freeze weather. A true miracle product for survival.
She managed to collect two full boxes of those miracle logs, plus a small case of bullets. They fit perfectly with the handgun she’d gotten from JunkEater earlier, giving her weapons a much–needed upgrade.
Over the next few days, Caroline opened every remaining package in her storage space.
Inside were all sorts of things–food, clothes, pet food, toys, and daily supplies.
The most amusing find? Several boxes full of protections.
A few boxes were empty, but the packing slips showed that they once held jewelry and raw
gems.
Then she turned her attention to the safes she’d taken from Big Bro Supreme’s office. With a bit of work–cutting, hammering, and patience–she cracked them open.
The first safe was simple–stuffed with cash, gold bars, and checks.
The gold was heavy and solid–nothing fancy, just wealth in its purest form.

The second safe had two layers. One held four property deeds, each with a key clipped inside.
The other layer was empty. Under the keys lay a piece of paper with strange words written on it–Red, Orange, Yellow, Green.
Caroline frowned. Knowing Big Bro Supreme’s odd naming habits, she couldn’t figure out what that meant.
The properties listed on the deeds weren’t close–mostly suburban villas and apartment buildings in nearby cities.
She couldn’t go check them now, but her instincts told her these places were special. Someday, when the world thawed and the roads opened again, she’d find out.
The second safe was empty, but the marks inside showed something had once been there.
Caroline suspected that whatever it held had already been “eaten” by her storage space.
After the upgrade, the storage space said its evolution method had changed.
Before, it used to level up by absorbing raw gemstones–especially those with spiritual energy.
Now, it seemed that any kind of gemstone could do the trick.
That realization made Caroline grin.
It would make upgrading a whole lot easier.
When she opened the third safe, she found strange items she couldn’t understand. Inside was a bunch of strange items that looked like they were used for fortune setups or energy fields.
There was even a mysterious diagram filled with symbols and lines, explaining how placing these objects together could form a magnetic field.
She guessed it was probably for attracting wealth or luck in business.
But what really surprised her was what else the safe held–several Madonna pendants and similar religious charms.
Clearly, Big Bro Supreme had a deep fascination with mystical things.
Caroline wasn’t interested in any of it. She didn’t understand much about that stuff anyway, so she packed it all away for now.
Then something caught her eye in Big Bro Supreme’s nap room–a white, soft, jelly–like thing
