When Caroline lifted the lid, she saw that the two things she had placed inside yesterday had turned into two large bags–one labeled “Dog Biscuits Product of Storage Space” and the other “Parrot Feed Product of Storage Space.”
These two bags looked completely different from the regular pet food she had made on the farm.
Under the big bold words “Product of Storage Space,” there was a smaller line that read, “Made by Storage Space–only the best! This pet food is healthy, filling, and even helps pets recover their energy after using their abilities! Bet you didn’t see that coming!”
At that moment, Caroline could almost picture a clown dancing proudly in front of her, mocking her.
It was like her patience was being tested to the absolute limit!
Clenching her teeth, Caroline gripped the two bags tightly. “Stupid storage space! You’re doing this on purpose, aren’t you?” she muttered.
Right then, she felt like her storage space had a crazy little soul living inside it.
It knew she’d spent the whole day working hard to make pet food, yet it created its own version that was better–looking and shinier. It even had the nerve to brag, as if saying, My products are way better than yours, Caroline. So stop wasting your time and bow down to me, the mighty storage space!
Caroline ground her teeth but still carefully packed away both bags.
Before putting them away, she gave Raven a dog biscuit and Jet a handful of parrot feed.
The moment she brought the food out of Storage Space, both pets came running before she could even move.
Raven’s nose twitched rapidly in the air, sniffing hard, his eyes locked on the dog biscuit in Caroline’s hand like a missile target.
Jet hopped around excitedly, flapping his wings and chirping nonstop, “Human, give me some! Human, I want it!”
Seeing their reactions left Caroline stunned. The food made by Storage Space is that tempting, huh?
She handed the biscuit to Raven and poured the parrot feed into Jet’s dish.

Jet immediately started pecking fast, finishing everything in seconds.

Raven, on the other hand, ate slowly, savoring every bite with a look of pure enjoyment, as if he wanted to make it last forever.
By the time Jet was done, he licked his beak and glanced over at Raven, who was only halfway through his biscuit.
Jet looked up at Caroline with pitiful eyes and said in a sweet voice, “Boss, I want more, Boss!”
Boss, huh?
Caroline couldn’t help but laugh. What a shameless, two–faced parrot!
Of course, she didn’t give Jet any more–the storage space’s note had said this food could restore pets‘ evolution abilities.
The last time Raven had gone out to hunt that mutant weasel, he’d been so exhausted that he had to eat a ton of food just to recover.
Next time, I’ll just give him one of these biscuits—it might bring him back instantly.
Even though she complained about that annoying storage space, Caroline had to admit that she was pretty happy with its products.
Feeling satisfied, she went to bed and slept straight through until late the next morning.
When Kay and Tyler knocked on her door, Caroline was still eating pierogi and watching a show.
“Tyler said we’re going out tonight to collect supplies. You coming?” Kay asked with a smile.
The scabs on her face had already fallen off, leaving faint pink scars. She looked a lot better
now.
Tyler nodded. “Yeah. We’re hitting something big tonight.”
Caroline didn’t expect that Tyler’s “big plan” was to raid a grain storage site in a village outside the city.
The village sat high up, and most of its crops were corn and beans.
Before the apocalypse, it had been harvest season, right when those two were dried and stored.
After everything fell apart, the area had been far from the main settlements, so there should
