Chapter 151 The Rat King’s Fall
Chapter 151 The Rat King’s Fall
With a loud bang, Tyler slammed the warehouse door shut.
It sounded like he was trapping the rats inside on purpose.
From behind the door came a storm of squeaks and screeches.

Caroline didn’t waste time worrying about him. She turned to the side and shouted, “Raven!”
Raven came running over.
When Caroline saw the dark, shiny fur now streaked with blood, her heart twisted with pain.
She had raised him with care, feeding him dog food, bits of meat, even peeling eggs for him sometimes, so his fur would stay glossy and smooth.
Now, as a human watching her loyal companion hurt, her anger flared even hotter.
With Tyler gone, she no longer needed to hide her secret. Caroline opened her storage space and pulled out a bottle of gasoline, pouring it over the swarm of rats.
Then she flicked her lighter.
Flames roared to life, spreading fast. Countless rats turned into burning, twitching bodies. A huge chunk of them was gone in seconds.
But there were still many left, refusing to run. They stayed together, squeaking like they were waiting for orders from their rat king.
Raven was shaking, clearly in pain, but he still obeyed Caroline’s earlier warning–he didn’t use his powers or change size.
Caroline had told him before to never reveal his true form without her command.
But now, with no one else around, she suddenly had an idea.
“Grow bigger and crush them!”
Raven’s eyes lit up. In a blink, his body expanded several times larger–bigger than Caroline had ever seen before. He towered over her, at least ten feet tall.
He jumped and stomped across the ground, smashing the rats that had been biting and crawling all over him just moments ago.

When the number of survivors dropped, Caroline quickly ordered, “Shrink down! Move!” Raven shrank back, and the two of them dashed aside.
The few rats still alive were dazed from Raven’s stomping, spinning around in confusion.
Caroline yanked a grenade’s pin and threw it.
Boom! Flames burst upward, filling the air with the harsh smell of burnt fur and smoke mixed with the rats‘ dying screams.
She and Raven circled the edge of the blast, finishing off the surviving mutant rats—more than 20 in all.
After nearly 15 minutes of fighting, Caroline was breathing hard.
She gathered up the dead rat bodies and stored them away, hoping her storage space would absorb their mutant energy. No way she’d let that go to waste.
Then she heard a sound from the warehouse.
The door burst open, and a thick wave of blood smell poured out.
Tyler stepped out, covered in blood, dragging the body of the rat king in his hand.
The creature had no visible wounds–only two daggers jammed deep into its eyes, blood soaking its once–white fur.
Inside the warehouse, chaos erupted. The leaderless rats were turning on each other–biting, clawing, and tearing one another apart.
Even the few that had escaped Caroline’s grenade didn’t bother with her anymore. They rushed back inside, joining the madness.
Tiny pink baby rats stumbled after them. The injured ones crawled in too.
Then, from the next warehouse over, came another crash. The door burst open, and another swarm of rats poured out, just as crazed.
They ignored Caroline, Tyler, and Raven completely, obsessed only with attacking their own kind.
Before her eyes, a brutal slaughter began.
