Chapter 40 Give it to Me! Hurry Up!

Caroline took out the emerald bracelet and turned it over in her hands for a while.

Honestly, she loved it. It was just too beautiful.

But it seemed her storage space loved it too. The space kept shaking, as if urging her. Give it to me! Hurry up!

Rolling her eyes, Caroline didn’t hesitate. She tossed the bracelet inside and followed it in.

The moment she entered, the bracelet floated in midair and turned into countless blue sparkles of light.

The sight was breathtaking, far more dazzling than before.

Some of the blue lights even shimmered with streaks of silver.

Caroline picked up Raven and held him in her arms as the glowing lights danced around them.

The dog lifted his head, his eyes wide open and his mouth slightly parted, clearly stunned by what he saw.

When a bit of the starlight drifted near, Raven tried to snap at it playfully.

Of course, he was biting only air.

The light show lasted around ten minutes before fading away.

Caroline looked around carefully, trying to see what had changed inside the space. But before she could notice anything, a strong force suddenly burst out from within the space and pushed both her and Raven out!

She blinked in confusion.

“What the heck just happened?”

Caroline tried to re–enter, but after five or six attempts, it was clear–she was locked out.

The storage space had sealed itself.

That made her anxious.

All her supplies were inside that storage space!

She started pacing back and forth in her living room, completely restless.

Raven, seeing her walking in circles, started spinning too. He mimicked her movements like a furry clown.

Caroline couldn’t help but laugh. “You don’t even know what’s going on, do you? Copying me like that.”

Raven tilted his head, his floppy face blank, as if saying, Who’s copying you?

That night, Caroline barely slept.

But after surviving an apocalypse once, she wasn’t the type to crumble easily. The next morning, she pulled herself together and cooked a few meals that could be stored in the fridge. Then, she finished her daily workout routine with Raven.

Chapter 40 Give it to Me! Hurry Up!

In the middle of the night, Caroline woke up to a strange vibration coming from the gemstone on her chest.

Caroline jolted upright in bed, startled awake by the strange vibration from the gemstone on her chest.

She quickly looked down and gasped. The gemstone had turned multicolored.

The deep red she’d seen before was still there–but now, a streak of bright, fiery green had appeared at one corner.

That green shimmer blended with the red so beautifully that the whole gem seemed alive, glowing with a new, vibrant energy.

Caroline took a deep breath. She could feel that her storage space had changed.

Raven was startled awake by Caroline’s sudden movement. The big dog sat up on the bed, pulled a long face, and stared at her sleepily.

Caroline reached over and rubbed his neck. “Easy, boy. It’s okay.”

Then she closed her eyes and focused again, trying to enter her storage space.

This time, it worked.

The moment she stepped inside, she froze–her storage space had completely transformed!

The black soil area had expanded, stretching wider than before, and was now clearly divided into two sections.

The first looked just like the old one–dark and dense. When she scooped up a handful, faint blue sparkles flickered between her fingers, as if the dirt were alive with energy.

The second section was much larger–about ten acres. The soil here was also dark but softer and richer, the kind you’d expect in perfect farmland. It felt warm and fertile to the touch.

Then she noticed something else. The small house was gone. In its place stood a two–story villa.

Caroline stepped inside, her eyes widening. The place had expanded by at least 3,000 square feet.

A cozy living area filled the middle, surrounded by seven or eight empty rooms. The design was practical, though the interior was simple.

Only the furniture she had stored before remained; nothing new had shown up.
