“I’ve already died once; what does my appearance matter now? Plus, I fainted once today. I can feel my strength fading, and if I don’t go out soon, I might not be able to get out at all.

“And everyone thinks rescue is right around the corner, that the government will distribute supplies soon. People are starting to relax.”

Kay’s point was clear–now was the perfect time to go out and search for supplies.

Caroline thought for a moment.

She was worried about Raven’s safety.

To her, Raven was the most loyal companion she had in this apocalypse.

He looked ready to go out and search for supplies, just finishing up his preparations.

“What a coincidence … “Tyler paused, glancing at the two of them. “How about we go together?”

Kay didn’t respond but looked at Caroline, clearly indicating she was following her lead.

After thinking it over, considering Tyler’s mysterious identity and skills, as well as his behavior over the past few days, Caroline nodded.

Caroline thought this was a good opportunity to assess their abilities and character. Going out together would allow them to balance each other out better.

It was only when faced with supplies and interests that a person’s true nature could be revealed.

Caroline patted Raven, then gestured to Kay, and the three of them headed into the water.
