Chapter 133
Alpha Ethan’s POV
What the hell am I going to do now?
For six whole years, I had been given the wrong mate chosen, manipulated, and decided by Alpha Andrew.
He is the reason behind this chaos, the pain, he betrayal. The confusion that’s been tormenting me.
He is the main cause of this, and he has to pay. For making me love someone who was never meant to be mine. For replacing my true mate with a puppet. For turning my heart into a battleground between illusion and destiny.
I sipped on my drink slowly, the warmth of the whiskey sliding down my throat doing nothing to dull the anger burning in my chest.
My eyes were locked on the window. The sun was dipping beyond the horizon, dragging the last of the light with it. I waited, my muscles tense, my fingers tapping lightly on the armrest of my chair.
Every second that passed only fueled my resolve.
I needed to see him.
Alpha Andrew.
He needed to answer for everything.
As the sky turned ink–black and the moon rose high, I stood. Without another word, I walked back into my room and changed into a clean black shirt, dark jeans, and boots.
My aura was already on edge. I didn’t need a crown or cape to look like death. The look in
my eyes would be enough.
I exited the pack house, and four guards fell in behind me without question.
They knew better than to ask. With swift strides, we mounted our vehicles and sped through the forest roads that connected our territory to Alpha Andrew’s.
It wasn’t a long ride, but it felt like an eternity. Every mile we crossed, I fought the urge to tear the wheel off or punch the window just to release the storm inside me.
And then, finally, we arrived.
The gates of Alpha Andrew’s pack loomed ahead, tall and gilded, guarded by two young wolves who scrambled to open them the moment they saw me approach.
The name Darkpine Pack was etched into a wooden sign nearby.
The place had changed.
As I stepped through the gates, memories assaulted me. The last time I was here, it had been for a coming–of–age ceremony six years ago.
Back then, this place had seemed welcoming and vibrant. Now, it was different, too polished, too perfect. As if they were hiding something beneath the surface.
I ignored the startled greetings and hushed gossiping voices of pack members lingering outside the main house. Their words rolled off me like rain on stone. I didn’t care what they said. I was here for him.
I walked through the doors into the pack house’s living room. It was luxurious, wide, and too quiet. A few servants scurried away the moment I stepped in. I stood there, waiting, my jaw clenched so tight I thought I might break a tooth.
And then I heard his footsteps.
He appeared from the hallway in a clean shirt and robe, his graying hair neatly slicked back.
Alpha Andrew, the man who had made the worst decision of my life.
He looked surprised at first, then plastered on a calm smile. “Alpha Ethan. This is a surprise. I wasn’t expecting you.”
Surprise? Was that what he called it?
I took a single step forward, the urge to slap the smugness off his face clawing at my control.
My hands clenched at my sides.
I wanted to punch him.
I wanted to break every single bone in his face.
But I held back. Barely.
Not because he didn’t deserve it, but because he was the father of my mate.
My true mate.
He raised an eyebrow as he approached slowly. “What brings you here unannounced? Is everything alright? How’s my daughter doing?”
And that that was the final straw.
I laughed bitterly. It was short and sharp, almost feral. “You still have the guts to ask about her?”
He blinked. “Of course. She’s my daughter.”
“Your betrayal of a daughter!” I snapped, my voice loud and echoing through the entire pack house. “After everything she’s been through. After what you and Olivia did. You have the audacity to act like you don’t know?”
He took a defensive step back. “I don’t know what you’re talking about, Ethan. You’r

“You think I wouldn’t find out?” I took another step forward, and he backed up instinctively. consequences?”
“Ethan Alpha Ethan, please calm down. Whatever you think happened, I“.
I didn’t let him finish.
“You think you could manipulate fate and not face the
With a snarl, I punched him hard in the face. The sound of bone cracking echoed like a gunshot. He fell backward onto a nearby couch, clutching his nose as blood trickled down.
I stood over him, breathing heavily. “Now speak. Or I swear by the Moon Goddess, I will burn down this entire pack house with everyone in it.”
He groaned, wiping his nose, and looked up at me with a flicker of fear. “I didn’t mean for it to happen this way.”
“Start talking.”
