Raven’s POV
I stood outside the door of Alpha Ethan’s study, my hand hovering just inches away from the knob. My wolf kept urging me to go in.
“He’s hurting… Just go in. He needs you.”
But I couldn’t. Not because I didn’t care. That was the part that stung the most. I cared more than I should. The bond between us was like a chain wrapped around my soul, tightening every time I tried to pull away.
But after everything he had done after all the pain, the humiliation, and the scars he left on my skin and my heart I couldn’t just go to him like nothing
happened.
I took a deep breath and turned to walk away.
“Just one look, then leave,” my wolf whispered again.
I cursed under my breath and turned back. One look, I told myself. One glance to confirm he’s alive, breathing, and suffering like I was.
Without knocking, I turned the knob and pushed the door open.
The room was dimly lit, a faint orange glow from the fireplace casting flickering shadows across the walls. I stepped in, my bare feet soundless on the Biwooden floor.
And then I saw him.
Alpha Ethan sat slumped on the couch near the fire, his face pale, the veins on his arms prominent as he leaned forward with his elbows on his knees, fingers laced tightly together. He looked… exhausted. Worn. Drained. Not at all like the arrogant, overbearing Alpha I knew.
Something inside me twisted.
He lifted his head slowly, as if sensing my presence. Our eyes locked, and surprise flickered in his expression. Then, something else… something softer:
“What are you doing here?” His voice was rough, like he hadn’t spoken in hours.
I folded my arms and stepped forward. “Even in this sorry state, you’re still as arrogant as ever.”

He didn’t respond, only stared at me like I was a ghost that had walked into his sanctuary..
I walked over and sat on the edge of his desk, crossing one leg over the other. “I came to check if you haven’t died of overthinking because of earlier. You
know, the way I chose Matthew’s food over yours.”
He narrowed his eyes. “As you can see, I’m alive.”
“Yes,” I said, swallowing the lump in my throat. “Barely.”
There was a beat of silence. He lowered his gaze, running a hand down his face.
“I locked Olivia in the cell,” he said after a pause, his voice heavy with something that might’ve been guilt… or anger..
I gave a small, approving smile. “Good. But that doesn’t mean I’ve forgiven you.”
He looked up at me again, something unreadable in his gaze,
And then, I moved.
I leaned forward, grabbed the front of his shirt, and pulled him to me until we were inches apart. I could feel his breath on my lips, hot and unsteady.

Chapter 137
“Are you okay?” he asked, his voice unexpectedly gentle.
“Yes,” I said, a small smirk tugging at my lips. “I just want to have some fun with
my mate.”
Before he could say anything else, I kissed him. Hard.
It wasn’t a kiss of longing or love. It was a kiss meant to hurt, to confuse, to take back the power he’d stolen from me. And he responded, as he always did. His hands went to my waist, gripping tightly as he stood and deepened the kiss, his body pressing into mine.
I moaned into his mouth, even as I mentally reminded myself why I was here. This wasn’t forgiveness. This wasn’t surrender. This was war.
Our tongues battled, teeth clashing, and for a moment I lost myself in it. But I quickly regained control. I pushed him back slightly, letting my hands trail down his chest, slowly unbuttoning his shirt. When it was off, I traced a slow, teasing line down his abs with my fingers.
A low moan escaped his lips.
I looked up at him through my lashes, then bent down and kissed him on the chest, slowly working my way downward. He gasped when I undid his belt, his breath catching as I dropped to my knees in front of him.
I didn’t say anything. I didn’t need to.
I took out his already hareded dick from his pants. It seems someone is eager for me, I said, teasing him as I stroked his dick a little, teasing him before using my tough on the tips and him releasing a low moan as I took his entire length into my mouth.
