Chapter 165

Reven pov

I sat on the edge of Alpha Ethan’s big bed, my hands shaking as I ran them through my hair. My chest rose and fell in uneven breaths.

The storm inside me refused to calm down. No matter how hard I tried to block the images, they came back like a bad dream on repeat: his cold stare, his harsh words, the sting of his hand across my face, and the way he looked at me like I was nothing. I had been humiliated, broken, and treated like a toy for too long, and it burned deep inside me.

For weeks, no, months, I had been his pawn, something he could use whenever anger or desire controlled him. And II allowed it. I let him take everything from me because I was afraid, Afraid of dying, Afraid of more pain. Afraid of what he would do to me if I fought back.

But not anymore.

I clenched my fists so tight my nails dug into my palms, leaving deep marks. The pain grounded me. It gave me strength.

No more weakness. No more letting him destroy me while I stay silent.

1 stood up suddenly, my decision hitting me like lightning. If I couldn’t fight him with strength, then I would hurt him where it mattered the mostthe one thing he valued more than his pride, more than me, maybe even more than his Luna.

His company.

Alpha Ethan’s billiondollar business was his crown jewel, the proof of his power and intelligence outside the pack. He built it with his own hands.

The thought of something going wrong with it would make his blood boil. And that was where I would strike. I didn’t know how yet, but the idea alone filled me with a rush of energy.

I paced the room, my mind spinning fast. Then, like a spark, I remembered his last phone call. He had been tense and serious, his voice clipped as he talked about delivering designs before the deadline.Fashion designs, I recalled.

Something about a big contract that could double his revenue if it worked.

My lips curled into a slow smile. If I ruin this deal, I ruin him.

The thought was risky, bold, and thrilling. For the first time in a long time, I had power. A small power, but still power. I wasn’t just a helpless maid or a worthless pawn anymore.

I would make him feel what it means to lose. Maybe then, he would know what it feels like to be powerless.

I looked at the door, my heart pounding so hard it felt like it would break my ribs. The hallway outside was

quiettoo quiet.

No guards in sight. Perfect. Alpha Ethan wasn’t in his study right now. I heard a maid say he went to check

the training grounds. That gave me a small window of time. A risky one, but enough.

Now or never, Raven, I told myself, taking a deep breath.

I slipped off the bed, careful not to make a sound. The cold floor touched my bare feet, but I didn’t care.

Every step felt like walking on a knife’s edge. One wrong move and I was dead.

If Alpha Ethan caught me snooping, he wouldn’t just scold me he would destroy me. Maybe not in front of

everyone, but behind closed doors, he would make me pay.

I opened the door slowly, my fingers trembling on the handle, and peeked out. Empty. My heart leaped with

relief.

I slipped through and closed the door behind me, moving down the hallway with my head low, ears alert for the faintest sound of footsteps.

The pack house was huge, but I knew it well by now. His study was on the second floor, east wing, a place no one entered without his permission. I walked fast, praying to the Moon Goddess not to meet anyone on the

way.

Minutes felt like hours as I moved like a shadow, hugging the walls and hiding in corners when I thought! heard voices. Finally, I reached the tall, dark wooden door of his study. I froze for a moment, my heart pounding.

This is it.

With shaky fingers, I turned the knob. It clicked softly. Unlocked. My tips parted in surprise at how careless of him. Or maybe he thought no one would dare cross him. Typical Alpha Ethan arrogance.

I stepped inside and closed the door. The smell of leather and sandalwood hit me. His study was perfect- books lined on shelves, a big mahogany desk at the center, his laptop closed, and stacks of files arranged

neatly.

He wasn’t here. Relief washed over me. I exhaled and walked toward the desk, my heart beating faster with each step.

This is crazy,I whispered to myself, but I didn’t stop.

I started going through the papers, scanning for anything important. Most were financial reports, shipping orders, and signed contracts. Then, inside a sleek black folder with a gold logo, I saw it: a file marked

Chapter 165

CONFIDENTIAL: DAISY COUTURE COLLABORATION.

$47%

My eyes widened. Daisy Couture. I knew that name. One of the biggest fashion companies in the world. If Alpha Ethan got this deal, it would take his company to a new level. This wasn’t just any dealit was the deal. The lifeline for his expansion plans.

My hands shook as I opened the file and read. The words blurred at firstI was too nervous to focusbut then it became clear: the deal was conditional. His company had to deliver exclusive designs for Daisy Couture’s next luxury line. If they approved, the partnership would be signed. If not, the deal would collapse.

A cruel thought grew in my mind like a poison. If those designs never made it, or better yet, if they were destroyed, the deal would die. And with it, part of Alpha Ethan’s soul.

I could almost see his face the anger, the disbelief, the helplessness. The same way he made me feel so many times. A laugh escaped my lips before I could stop it. Quiet, bitter.

Payback,” I whispered, clutching the file. This is just the beginning.

I put the document back and bit my lip as another thought hit me. Where were the designs? The file didn’t

say. They had to be heremaybe in a drawer or a safe.

I turned back to the desk and checked the drawers. Locked.

Of course. Alpha Ethan wasn’t stupid. But safes and drawers had keys, and keys had hiding spots. My eyes searched the room, looking for something out of placenbooks moved, a decoration not aligned. Then I saw

it a black key inside a crystal bowl on the corner shelf. Just sitting there like it didn’t matter.

I grabbed it and tried it on the drawer. Click. It opened.

Inside were more files, a leather notebook, and at the bottom, an envelope marked DESIGNS. My breath caught. This was it. The weapon that could break him.

I picked it up, hands shaking. For a moment, I just stared at it. The weight of what I was about to do settled on me. If I did this, there was no turning back. This wasn’t a joke. This was war. And Alpha Ethan didn’t
