I rushed forward and helped the driver as he carried Alpha Ethan toward his room.

The drug had taken full effect, and I could see it in the way he looked at me those normally sharp, commanding eyes now glazed. over, his pupils dilated and unfocused.

His weight pressed against me, heavy and warm, and a wave of guilt rushed through me.

Minutes later, his breathing evened out, his head sinking deeper into the pillow. The drug and exhaustion had claimed him completely.
