I went back to my room, feeling strong. In three days, I would finally be free from all of this. Free from him. Free from the

pain.

Free from the pack that never wanted me. The thought made me smile, even if the smile was bitter. I pushed the door shut behind me and leaned on it for a moment, letting out a shaky breath I didn’t know I was holding.

Three days.

Just three more nights of pretending, breathing the same air as him, and living with the pain that came with staying under his roof. After that, I would vanish. He would never find me. I would make sure of that.

I walked to the closet, opened it, and looked at the clothes hanging there. Some of them were not even mine. They were dresses he sent to my room to make me feel trapped with his fake kindness.

Every time I saw them, I remembered that night the night he turned my life into a living hell. I clenched my fists so tight that my nails dug into my palms.

No. I would not think about it now.

I took my small travel bag from the top shelf and put it on the bed. It looked too small for everything I wanted to take, but I didn’t care. I would not take his gifts. I would not take anything that reminded me of Alpha Ethan.

Only the few clothes I bought with my own money–the money I saved after many years of working like a servant and being humiliated in this house.

As I started folding the first dress, my mind went back to him without me wanting it to.

I placed the top into the bag, smoothed it down to hide my shaking fingers, and walked to the door. When I opened it, the last person I expected was standing there.

“Elisa?” I said in surprise, my hand still on the door handle. Luna’s younger sister. The only person in this house who had ever shown me kindness. She looked as pretty as always, her golden hair shining in soft waves, her eyes bright. But tonight, there was something else in her eyes–something that made my stomach twist.

“Can I come in?” she asked softly.

I waited a second, then stepped aside. “Sure.”

She walked in gracefully, her eyes looking all around the room like she wanted to remember every little thing. Then her eyes landed on the suitcase on my bed.

Her eyes grew wide.

“So… it’s true,” she whispered, turning back to me. “You really want to go.”

I swallowed hard, my throat dry. “Yes,” I said, my voice strong even though my heart was racing. “I’m leaving for good.”

Her lips opened like she wanted to say something, but she didn’t. She walked closer to the bed and touched the edge of

The silence between us felt heavy, like it could crush me. Finally, she spoke, her voice soft and almost begging.
