Chapter 67
Chapter 67
Raven’s POV
It’s been three days now since I had been locked up here with no food and only a little water–barely enough to keep me breathing. I rested fny head against the cold, cracked stone wall of the cell, trying to ignore the shivers that rattled my bones. My stomach ached, not just from hunger, but from the deep, suffocating pain of betrayal. My entire body felt sore, filthy, and drained. I couldn’t even tell whether it was day or night anymore–the darkness in this place never changed.
Tears ran freely down my cheeks, warm against my freezing skin. I hated that I was still crying. I hated that my heart still ached for people who never truly saw me. For things, I never asked for.
I sobbed quietly, curling in on myself like a wounded animal.
“The man who was supposed to be my mate… he hates me,” I whispered to no one. My voice was hoarse, cracked from days of silence and pleading that went unheard. “He was meant to be mine. The Moon Goddess chose him for me.”
But instead, he was taken… ripped away from me by the one person I could never stand to call family. My stepsister. Olivia.
I let out a shaky breath as my chest rose and fell in rapid gasps. “If it wasn’t enough that she took everything from me… she also took him. My mate.” I laughed bitterly through my tears. “And now he hates me. Without even knowing, we were destined. Without even knowing the pain, he carved into me with every cruel word and look.”
It was like he was breaking me all over again, piece by jagged piece.
Suddenly, I heard footsteps–firm, heavy, approaching with purpose.
My breath hitched in my throat. I turned toward the bars, dragging myself upright with weak arms, heart pounding with a mixture of fear and something else… dread.
Two guards appeared, both broad and emotionless, faces like stone. They unlocked the cell, and before I could utter a word, they stormed in. I tried to pull back, but I was too weak. One grabbed me by the arms, the other by my waist, and they hauled me up roughly.
“W–Where are you taking me?” I gasped, trying to fight against their iron grips. “Let me go! Please!”
They didn’t respond. No eye contact. No words. Just cold obedience.
I kicked and screamed, my voice rising in panic. “Answer me! Where are you taking me?!”
But still, nothing.
The hallways blurred past us in a dim haze. Familiar yet foreign. And then… I saw it. A large double door. I would recognize it anywhere. My blood turned
to ice.
Alpha Ethan’s room.
“No… no, please,” I whimpered, shaking my head. “Not there. Please, don’t do this.”
They opened the door.
I barely had a second to process what was happening before they shoved me inside, and I stumbled forward, landing on my knees. My hands slapped the polished floor, bruised from the fall, I lifted my head slowly and met the furious eyes of Alpha Ethan.
He was sitting on the edge of the bed, one guard standing beside him with his arms crosséd. Alpha Ethan’s jaw was clenched tight, and his aura was suffocating. His entire presence screamed fury.
“It’s been three days,” he began, his voice a low growl. “Three days since you pushed my mate.”

topened my mouth to defend myself, but he held up his hand sharply.

“She hit her head so hard, she’s still unconscious. She’s fighting for her life in the clinic. And you” his gaze darkened further as it swept over me in disgust, “–you’re still breathing like nothing happened. Like you can live white she suffers.”
I blinked through my tears and laughed bitterly again. “If this is what living means to you, then you’re sicker than I thought,” I snapped back, my voice rising in anger and pain. “This isn’t living. This is hell.”
“And you are nothing but heartless. The Moon Goddess made a mistake by making you an Alpha, ‘cause you are just a heartless soul–a monster, Ethan!” Ispat at him, anger evident in my voice.
His nostrils flared. “You still dare talk back?”
“Because I’ve lost everything!” I screamed. “And you were part of it! You were meant to be min…” I stopped mid–sentence as I realized what I was about to do. There wasn’t any need of me telling him. He won’t believe–not when that witch has him wrapped around her finger.
“I warned you,” he said coldly. “You think this is the worst I can do? You’re wrong. Tonight is just the beginning.
I will make you feel pain–wish to beg for death–but it will be far from you.”
He turned to the guards. “Three of you,” he said flatly. “You’ll take turns. Break her spirit. And don’t stop until she is out of breath. Fuck her until she can no longer bear it. Until she feels the pain she is feeling right now in the pack clinic. Show her what happens to anyone who lays a finger on my Luna.”
“No!” I shrieked, backing away as one of the guards–massive, with a wide chest–stepped forward. His eyes were cold. Empty.
“Please! I didn’t mean to hurt her. It was an accident!”
I scrambled to my feet, my voice hysterical. “You can’t do this! You can’t! You’re a monster!
Please, I will do every other thing you want–but this, don’t! I can’t survive it.”
“Yes, that’s the point. I don’t want you to survive it. Not when she’s there, and we are not sure if she will survive hers. So you don’t get to survive yours. And even if you do, you will live with the scar all the days of your life,” he spat at me, hatred evident in his eyes.
“Please, Alpha,” I begged desperately.
Alpha Ethan said nothing. He just watched.
As the other stood before me, lust evident in his eyes–No, I have to do something. There is no need of living when I know I might die while they do it. And
with that–
I saw the table then–polished wood with a half–empty bottle of liquor. And I knew, I knew what I had to do. If I let them touch me, if they broke me that way, there’d be nothing left.
I’d rather die than let them strip me of my last shred of dignity.
With trembling legs, I lunged for the table. My hand closed around the bottle. I smashed it hard against the edge, glass shattering into jagged pieces. Gasps echoed around the room.
“Back away!” I screamed, brandishing the broken glass like a weapon.
But I wasn’t threatening them. Not really.
