Mending a Broken Love (Roxanne and Sebastian) novel Chapter 142

Sebastian had come to find Roxanne.

Yasmin couldn't let him find Roxanne.

The news about Mason searching for someone had blown up online, with tons of people tagging Yasmin. Roxanne might've seen it or maybe not. Even if she did see it, she wouldn't dare come forward. She was hiding from Sebastian, after all. But if he did find her...

Even if Yasmin managed to stay under the radar now, once she joined Starlight Project and was suddenly in the public eye, Roxanne would definitely notice her. What if she exposed her?

She couldn't let that happen. She had to keep Sebastian from finding Roxanne.

She quickly put on her softest, most delicate expression. "Mr. Grayson, I... I'm feeling a little tired. Could you take me back?"

Mason responded gently, "Of course."

Angeline was already waiting at the entrance and took the wheelchair from Mason. "Thank you, Mr. Grayson, Mr. Lindth."

Yasmin turned to Mason and said sweetly, "Thank you, Mr. Grayson."

Mason's handsome face softened with tenderness. "Get some rest. I'll pick you up tomorrow to head to the airport."

"Okay." A soft blush crept up Yasmin's pretty cheeks.

Mason was out of her league. Other than his good looks and figure, he excelled in every other aspect. It was love at first sight.

Once Mason and Jensen had left, Yasmin's smile instantly dropped. She grabbed Angeline's hand and said urgently, "Aunt Angeline, you have to help me."

"What's wrong?"

"Sebastian's here, and he's looking for Roxanne. I can't let him find her. If she goes back with him, she'll definitely expose me."

When Roxanne and Carolyn got back to the little town, the sky was already dark. As soon as Roxanne walked into the house, she was hit with the smell of food.

Zachary's graceful figure was moving through the kitchen. He seemed pretty occupied.

The scene looked warm.

For the past week, she and Zachary had been living in this gentle ambiguity—like something was about to shift but hadn't quite yet.

His birthday was in just a couple of days, and she was planning to confess her feelings then. She had already bought the gift. It was a wristwatch—a symbol of love. He was going to love it.

She quietly crept upstairs and hid it.

Zachary's gaze softened as he watched her sneak around, but he didn't call her out.
