Mending a Broken Love (Roxanne and Sebastian) novel Chapter 156

It would be a nightmare, right?

Sebastian was so proud. If he found out that he had been played by Miles and Liana, he would probably blow a gasket.

Elvira couldn't wait to see the look of pure, seething rage on his face. It served him right!

Roxanne raised an eyebrow, not even acknowledging Elvira's excited response. "You'd better not say anything, and I won't either."

Elvira's face instantly froze like she'd been doused with cold water. She stared at Roxanne in disbelief. "Why? After everything Liana has put you through, are you not going to get some payback?"

Every time Roxanne tried to go on a date with Sebastian, Liana would always find a way to insert herself. And Sebastian would always ditch Roxanne to go after Liana.

Roxanne had been holding onto so many years of pent-up frustration. Now that she had the chance to get back at her and slap Liana in the face, why wouldn't she spill the beans?

Roxanne smiled, her pretty face showing no signs of care. "Liana might be a pain in my life, but she's just a pawn. The real culprit is Sebastian. If it weren't for his indulgence, Liana wouldn't have been able to stir things up even if she wanted to.

"And honestly, I'm over Sebastian now. I'd be happy if he and Liana got together. Why should I tell him the truth?"

Before, Liana was just a hurdle and a troublemaker in her and Sebastian's life. But now, she was actually her ally. Why would Roxanne mess with her own helper?

"Huh?" Elvira sounded disappointed. She wouldn't get to see Liana slapped in the face. But then, she thought about it. If the truth came out and Sebastian hated Liana and kicked her out of his life, he would just be after Roxanne alone.

And right now, Roxanne didn't want anything to do with Sebastian. Being pursued by him? No thanks!

"No, no, we won't say anything!" Elvira made a zipping gesture with her hands. Her lips were sealed. What shouldn't be said wouldn't be said.

She used to think that if Sebastian ever called her by a sweet nickname, she would jump for joy. But now, she didn't feel happy at all. In fact, she found it kind of disgusting.

Elvira heard it from the other end of the call too. She rubbed her arms in disgust. "Ugh, that's disgusting!"

It had to be said, best friends really did share the same sentiments!

Roxanne made a shushing gesture toward the phone before hanging up. She walked over to the door and opened it.

Sebastian stood there like some sort of guardian with his dark eyes fixed on her. His gaze was so intense it felt like it could pierce through her.

He was not going to let go. He had made up his mind that he was going to take her back and marry her.
