Mending a Broken Love (Roxanne and Sebastian) novel Chapter 191

Did Miles have a death wish or something? He had lied to Sebastian, and no matter how compelling his reasons were, he would never earn his forgiveness.

He could have stayed hidden abroad forever, and that would have been the end of it. So, why had he messaged Sebastian again?

While eating, Roxanne kept sneaking glances at Sebastian, but he showed no signs of unusual behavior. In fact, every time she looked up, he would smile gently at her. The third time, his smile was so soft that it rippled with affection, and Roxanne couldn't take it anymore.

"How can you still smile at a time like this?"

Sebastian's smile froze on his handsome face. "I shouldn't smile? You don't like it?"

She really didn't. There was something ingratiating and forced about it. Who would like a fake smile?

"If you don't mean it, then don't smile. Also, how could you not react at all?"

The fork in Sebastian's hand curved from the pressure. "Oh, I'm reacting. I feel a huge sense of defeat."

Roxanne was confused. Sebastian wasn't angry but defeated?

He looked her straight in the eye. "Can you teach me?"

Roxanne was speechless. "How can I teach you? I don't know how to do that!"

Feigning death wasn't a tactic she would resort to. It was simply too despicable. Even if Miles had his reasons, he had still been manipulating Sebastian for all these years. She refused to believe that Miles and Liana didn't have their own hidden motives.

Sebastian lowered his gaze. "You made it look so easy. Why won't you teach me? Fine, I'll figure it out myself."

Roxanne looked completely baffled. What did she make look so easy? Faking death?

Wait, no! It finally hit her. They weren't even talking about the same thing.
