Mending a Broken Love (Roxanne and Sebastian) novel Chapter 97

Roxanne pointed at the cabinet next to Nicholas. "It's in the drawer."

Nicholas was surprised. "You left something so important in the drawer?"

Roxanne showed a helpless expression. "Can I wear something so precious when I'm injured?"

More importantly, she didn't want to wear a ring that was gifted to her by Sebastian. She only wanted to sell it off.

Nicholas thought that her words made sense. He removed an intricate box from the drawer and opened it. When he gazed upon True Love's Heart, which reflected light magnificently from all angles, a satisfied smile curved his lips upward.

"So, it really is True Love's Heart."

"What's True Love's Heart?" asked Roxanne.

"The name of this ring is True Love's Heart. It's a symbol that represents the future lady of the Hayes family. Since Sebastian has gifted it to you, it means that he's serious about marrying you."

Roxanne was shocked. She had assumed it was just a normal ring and had no idea it even had such a dramatic name. And what was that about Sebastian being serious about marrying her? Roxanne scoffed at the idea. He didn't even get the right size!

Nicholas handed the ring to Roxanne. "Every time this ring is passed on to a new owner, the band will be changed. The owner's initials will then be carved onto the band. You can take a look and see if your initials are on it."

Roxanne accepted the ring. She had truly thought that it was just a regular ring with a huge and valuable diamond attached. She couldn't have predicted that it would carry so much meaning. Did Sebastian gift the ring to her with her initials carved on the band to signify her future position of the lady of the Hayes family?

Roxanne couldn't quite bring herself to believe it. After all, the ring was still the wrong size. It didn't feel like it was meant for her. However, her curiosity was piqued. She removed the ring from the box and examined it. There were indeed letters carved into the band. She could tell the letters were the initials of two people.

A future without Sebastian was indeed wonderful, brilliant, and bright.

Nicholas thought he had played the role of counselor quite flawlessly. He got to his feet, his chest puffing out in pride. "Alright, I won't disturb your rest any longer, and I have other patients to attend to. If the IV bag needs to be changed, just press the bell."

Roxanne nodded. "Okay, thank you for your hard work."

Nicholas walked over to the door before winking at her playfully. "Take good care of the ring. It's the Hayes family's precious heirloom."

Roxanne smiled lightly before nodding. She would definitely sell the heirloom of the Hayes family for a pretty price!
