Miss Josefina: Nobody's Princess novel Chapter 446

Hattie sighed and said with a touch of exasperation, “Junior might as well marry his bot, he's more attached to it than to his own mother. If push comes to shove, he can just keep that hunk of metal for company.”

Garrett chuckled, “Not a bad idea, actually.”

Dorian tossed in his two cents with a smirk, “If Junior’s that smitten with robots, maybe he’ll actually take you up on that.”

Josefina let out a snort of laughter, imagining Reid having a meltdown in the bathroom.

Lena’s eyes twinkled with mischief. She muttered something about needing the restroom and quickly made her way to the elevator, heading up to her room instead.

Once there, Lena dialed Reid’s number. As soon as it connected, she adopted a woeful tone, “Reid, don’t you want to come home soon for your big sis?”

Reid’s voice was icy, “What’s up?”

Lena pressed on, “Mom and Dad are really upset. They adore our sister, even more than me. If you don’t come home to see her, they’ll be furious. They said... if you don’t want to come back, then just stay away. Reid, I’ll try to calm our sister down. It’s fine if you come back later; I’ll smooth things over so she won’t hold a grudge.”

Lena’s voice was filled with urgency, but she was met with Reid’s indifferent reply, “What did you say? The machines are too loud here, didn’t catch that.”

Lena felt like screaming!

Reid was as dense as a block of wood!

Fuming, Lena continued, “Reid, about our sister…”

“Look, Lena, let’s talk when I get back. I’m swamped with work and have a competition next month. I need to lead my team to victory and crush my rival.”

Reid hung up, leaving Lena so frustrated she nearly cursed out loud.

To Reid, there was nothing but robots.

Mom and Dad were right; he might as well spend his life with those robots!

...

Lena trudged back downstairs, her spirits low.
