Gloria out as well.

She could see his entire unit standing just outside his office and Gloria was over there as well, happily leaning in the doorway to that Alpha’s office, a smug smile on her face, for all to see, becau

Nora had said was true. Gloria was clearly winning the game and that was all there was to it

Nora turned and walked up the stairs to the Alpha floor, when Jace said nothing after 30 solid seconds. He was just frowning deeply at her because he couldn’t counter anything without calling her a far or during his own ass in it, for all the pack to hear.

Nora stepped onto the Alpha floor, and she could see right away that the Luna Suite was indeed being redone. The walls around the the door of the Luna Suite were all repaired but not repainted yet, and the door stood open. Which allowed her to see that there were workers in there fixing everything, and there was already a golden plaque on the door, though she noted it didn’t say Luna Suite anymore, but was inscribed

with the words Gloria’s Suite.

So, he’d not even bothered to move her, and, of course, why would he? She was the Luna of the pack. Nora

turned and walked into the Alpha Suite and into his master bedroom and grabbed her clothes from that

wardrobe and packed them into her suitcases and took them to her study room

All she’d had in there was an oversized bean bag for sleeping in, a basic desk and chair and a single small

bookcase for her uni books, along with her laptop and printer. It was no different to a dorm room study nook He’d never asked her if she wanted a proper room to study. He had been in there many times and did not care how it looked. Because he wouldn’t spend a single dime on her, he hadn’t even announced her as the future Luna, just as his Mate was all.

She stopped and stared at the two French doors, that had once been a single wooden soundproofed

bedroom door before, but were now two mostly glass doors that weren’t going to be soundproof at all, and

gave a full view of the room beyond it. He could now see what she was doing with a single glance.

She gritted her teeth, as she could see that her small white desk and gray velvet chair and bookcase that she had bought herself were gone, as was her beanbag. She pushed into the room that had been remodeled from a bare empty bedroom to a full study. It was all soft blue and white with a few gray accents. There was now a wall behind that large gray desk and blue chair, with inbuilt shelving and there were a few decorative vases

and what not on them.

A full day bed with throw pillows had been built into the wall under the window, which had a white roman blind now, and there was a chair with gray accents opposite her desk and a chandelier above her desk.

She wondered how long it was going to be before Gloria was working from this office. She guessed he was about to reject her and move on completely. She turned and looked about at how he’d prepped this, her room for his Luna, only to find all of her study books neatly stacked in a floortoceiling bookcase just to the right

of the door and frowned at seeing them there.

She wondered why he bothered. What point was he trying to make? Or what game was he trying to play? She wondered if he was now trying to get her to come around and forgive him, after she’d told him in the hospital to reject her? Trying to give her something pretty so she’d stay long enough to crawl into his bed and give him that heir. He was trying, she thought, to full her into a full false sense of security, only she wouldn’t be sucked

This meant nothing to her, it was all just too little, and too very late. She’d tried to make him choose who to

believe that day and she’d lost the battle. Gloria had won that hands down, and she was not going to b to beat her 60 years of them being together, verses a few months of them and their mate bond

He’d made himself perfectly clear, his words, his actions or lack there off even, showed her exactly where sh stood with him. Even today, he’d moved her out of the way so that Gloria could walk past, made her gre to that she woll, physically moved her himself, putting her firmly in her place.

Why he would even try to sway her, after everything he’d done to her, all the pain she’d felt at his hands, things she’d seen with her own two eyes. Heard come out of his own mouth. He couldn’t win her back with a study room. Her eyes moved to the doors once more, there was no lock on them, he could at will stroll in here when she was asleep and try once more to seduce her. That was all she saw

She walked out of the suite and across the hall, called one of those builders to her and asked him to get a lock and put it on her study doors. He stared at a little shocked but then nodded Of course, Nora. Til have it done within the hour.

Thank you, a key lock and bolts top and bottom. She told him and walked away her stance would be clear. Not that she thought it would stop Jace at all, but it would show him how she really felt, if he’d not picked that up from downstairs.
