Chapter 140 Bound by Blood and Rescue
Talonox had escaped with only a handful of men. For now, he wasn’t likely to cause any more trouble.
What else could Becky say? She just nodded.
Lyle looked at her seriously. “Why did Talonox kidnap you?”
“I treated him for severe migraines once.”
“Migraines?”
“Yeah. Pretty bad ones.”
Lyle’s eyes lit up. Another weakness discovered.
Finished
Becky continued, “He came to me in Dracovia for help. After one treatment, he became obsessed with my skills and decided to take me away.”
Both Lyle and Xavier were surprised. Xavier had assumed Talonox targeted Becky because of her connection to him.
Turns out, it was her medical talent that drew the bastard in.
Lyle was practically starstruck. “Wait… You can heal people? Are you a doctor?”
She thought he was just one of those guys who liked calling women “little sister, but she answered anyway. “I practice traditional medicine.”
“Traditional medicine? That’s amazing!”
Becky started to feel a little embarrassed.
“Actually.. I was the one who saved you that night.”
Lyle froze, stunned. “You’re the one who saved me?”
She nodded
His eyes grew red with emotion. His sister, with her tiny frame, had somehow dragged his 150–pound body to safety.
“You’ve had it tough, little sis. I owe you my life.”
“Don’t call me “little sis. My name’s Becky.”
Lyle mentally took note: Becky. Traditional medicine. Skilled. That was more than enough to go on.
He’d finally found her. The rest could wait. His eldest brother would know how to confirm it.
“No need to thank me, Becky said. “You saved me last night. We’re even.”
Lyle beamed. “There’s fate between us. It brought us together.”
Becky found his way of speaking odd. She didn’t quite understand what he meant and lowered her head to eat more
breakfast.
Lyle just kept smiling at her, eyes fixed, completely mesmerized.
Xavier, visibly annoyed, wiped his mouth with a napkin. “Let’s go Time to head to the airport.”
Becky looked longingly at her half–eaten breakfast but finally stuffed a big piece of sweet potato into her mouth and grabbed
Lyle still wasn’t ready to part with her. He watched her, reluctant.
Becky waved at bum “Bye”

Chapter 140 Bound by Blood and Rescue:
“I’ll come find you in Dracovia!” Lyle called out.
Finished
He wanted so badly to tell her she was the lost daughter of the Shanks family–their little princess. That he was her older brother. But saying it now might scare her. Better to wait until they were back in Dracovia, where the whole family could come together and welcome her home.
They also needed time to understand her life up till now. Whether she’d suffered, how she’d lived.
Lyle’s gaze followed her until she disappeared.
Xavier paused after a few steps and waited for Becky.
She took a bite of sausage and muttered, “That Lyle guy is kinda weird. Don’t you think?”
Xavier gave her a long look. “A little, yeah.”
Back on their hotel floor, they saw Yvonne standing at their room door, knocking. No one had answered, and she looked ready to leave. Then she spotted them.
She gave Becky a strange look. Last night, her brother had carried Becky into the suite himself. Who knew if anything happened between them?
As they walked up, Yvonne asked, “Where were you guys?”
“Having breakfast,” Xavier replied. “You should grab something too–we’re heading to the airport soon.”
“Oh. Okay.”
Yvonne perked up at the mention of going home. She missed her parents and longed for that safety.
“I’ll go eat right now.”
And she took off in a flash.
Xavier and Becky went back to the room to rest. Once Yvonne returned, they all headed to the airport.
Xavier had booked a private jet. Everyone on board was part of their group.
He led Becky straight into the luxury cabin.
Yvonne sat nearby.
Becky noticed something: Yvonne wasn’t yelling at her today. After everything that had happened, maybe her brain got scrambled. Normally, she’d be throwing a fit if she saw Becky sitting next to Xavier.
Three hours later, they landed in Dracovia.
Yvonne was placed in a separate car and sent home. Xavier knew Becky was anxious to see James, so the moment they exited the airport, he guided her into a Rolls–Royce.
“I’ll take you back”
Becky didn’t argue. She was desperate to get home. She greeted Randall and climbed in
–
Randall looked genuinely relieved “Ms. Quinn, it’s so good to have you back. You scared us all especially the young master. He hasn’t closed his eyes since you went missing”
Becky glanced over at Xavier.
Her heart warmed. She was deeply touched
