Chapter 167 Going Live
He was always the one to end a call. Natalie was the first person who had ever dared to hang up on him.
Heh.
The woman was getting bolder by the day. And he, to his own surprise, found he liked it.
Back at the office, he had just settled in when a knock on the door pulled him from his thoughts.
“What is it?” Marcus looked up as James entered, his expression darkening slightly.
“The show starts at two, but it conflicts with one of your meetings. Will you be watching the live broadcast or attending the meeting?”
Marcus didn’t hesitate. “Postpone the meeting. I’m watching the broadcast.”
“Of course.” James placed a tablet on the desk, the live stream already queued up. “The show will begin at two.”
“Good.” Marcus looked up at him. “How are things on Harley’s end?”
“I just messaged her. She said everything is ready.”
“Fine. You can go.”
That afternoon, Natalie arrived at Lucy’s friend’s house. After getting everything set up, she waited for the show to begin. On the table in front of her was her phone, a voice changer, and a laptop for watching the live stream. Lucy sat on her left, her friend on her right.
“Look! It’s starting!” Lucy squeezed her hand, her other hand pointing at the screen.
Natalie’s gaze fixed on the laptop. The broadcast was underway, the comments section a constant stream of messages from Victoria’s adoring fans.
“Victoria is so beautiful!”
“Victoria, I’ll love you forever!”
“I heard the piece she brought today is priceless. Can’t wait to see it!”
“She’s rich, of course she’d bring something amazing!”
